Trump's Economic Plan

Inflation and the soaring cost of gas and groceries might be the #1 policy this election. I'd really like to hear what the Harris Campaign has planned to do and how it's different than when she was Vice President.  There isn't anything published and she's refused to answer any questions from the press about it since Biden dropped out of the race.

Anybody find where Harris stands on policy?  Anyone? Anyone?

I searched a couple weeks worth of tweets.  Mostly one liner slogans and mean nothings like "Fight for our Country!".  I finally found something though:

- John Lewis Voting Rights Act

- Freedom to Vote Act

She listed those, of course she doesn't explain anything so here goes:

The John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act would strengthen voting rights by expanding and strengthening the government's ability to respond to voting discrimination. Includes requirements for certain jurisdictions to seek federal approval before enacting certain changes to their voting laws.

The Voting Rights Act is a landmark federal law enacted in 1965 to remove race-based restrictions on voting.  Apparently she doesn't know what she quoted is already law.

Our Commitment:

4. Strict Vetting

Let's face facts, Bullets 1, 2 and 4 above can get done on day one by Executive Order.  Our country is being invaded and the president has the power to secure the border in the name of national security.  Nothing from the Harris campaign on this, or anything really, but her record as Border Czar speaks for itself.

Just one note of fact, just on sheer numbers alone, Biden has done more than any other president by way of EO so the claim above statistically applies to him more than any other.  Example: Student debt forgiveness even after the SCOTUS ruled.  I mean you say any particular EO may not be legal, we know that one isn't.  HTH

Nothing in writing yet, but, reporting that Harris's is to lay out items in an Economic Plan this afternoon in a speech in North Carolina:

Add to the Child Tax Credit (CTC) - $6,000 in total tax relief for middle-income and low-income families” for the first year of their child’s life.

First-ever federal ban on price gouging on food and groceries.  Lack of any details how this is carried out.

Boost Housing Construction - The plan calls for an expansion to an existing tax credit for businesses that build affordable rental housing, as well as a $40 billion federal fund to help boost construction.

First Time Home Buyer Assistance - By providing on average $25,000 for all eligible first-time home buyers, while ensuring full participation by first-generation home buyers and more generous support for first-generation homeowners.

Raise Minimum Wage and Limiting Taxes on Tips – A statement made at a rally in Las Vegas Saturday, “It is my promise to everyone here, when I am president, we will continue to fight for working families, including to raise the minimum wage and eliminate taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers.”
