LunaTick 30 Posted August 31 Understand the coaching in Atlanta last season was not fantasy friendly But I am curious, cautious, pessimistic that Zac Robinson, who has never play called a game before this preseason. Is a recipe for offensive success on this squad. Am I missing something here. Talk me off the ledge on this rookies impact on fantasy. Especially the Gifted yet Underperforming
Serenity Now 63 Posted August 31 It can’t get any worse than the play calling, personnel usage, and qb play from last year. He comes from the Sean Mcvay coaching tree which has produced top offenses in other places and hyper focuses on the top talent being utilized and given maximum opportunities. Also, the Falcons starting qb last year just got cut in favor of Tune in AZ so that alone would be a vast improvement.

I'm predicting bigger numbers on offense across the board (for the most part) Better QB, better scheme/coach. what's not to like? there is an outside chance this turnaround will be as dramatic as when McVay took over in LA. wouldnt entirely surprise me if this is a top 5 offense, but I'd say its safer to assume it will be a top 12 offense. Likely at around #9 or #10.
LunaTick 30 Posted September 1 Atlanta Stock last year is bottom 1/3 of the league offensively. New coaching. Untested OC. Expectation of outcomes are based upon others in the tree. Question, if you were to tier the Atlanta offense. Where would you tier it? If each tiers is between 4 to 6 teams, and roughly about 6 tiers Tier 6 (27 to 32) Tier 5 (21 to 26) Tier 4 (15 to 20) ATL went from Tier 6 last season to a potential between Tier 4 / Tier 5 team. Tier 5 will start of season. Weighting: Rushing team talent wise. Attempting to become balanced. WR squad is thin lacks depth. But expected for a team in transition Breakdown by talent: Fantasy darling- Bijan Robinson (ranking him as high as #3 and low as #12) (potential in new system) Fantasy workhorse- Younghoe Koo (Cousins will bring ATL into at least FG range high frequency) Fantasy starter (TE Leagues) - Kyle Pitts (tier 2/3) Fantasy depth picks - Drake London WR2/3 Fantasy depth picks - Kirk Cousins as backup, Fantasy depth picks - Tyler Allgeier bench depth Fantasy depth picks - Mooney flyer/bench depth
gridiron whirlwinds 9 Posted September 1 This has to be a better situation than the previous two years.
Serenity Now 63 Posted September 1 I see Atlanta as a potential top 10 offense. While I’m more in on Robinson than the others since I believe he might be most talented RB in the league at this point, the qb upgrade alone should bring out better results from all 3 of the young skill positions that were former top 10 picks. Having a rookie OC is not a new concept and I’d rather take a shot on the new OC than the experienced OC in Pittsburgh.
