Amari Cooper - I don't understand the love...

Recommended Posts

Granted he's playing the Giants who are horrendous (And I'm a Giants Fan)

But, Jeudy has outperformed him Week 1 And Week 2.

He does get alot of targets, but he doesn't do alot with them.

What do you think?!

TIA

There’s more data on Cooper than the first two games of this season, last year he played with Watson as well and looked good.

Jeudy is very good. Cooper is still the superstar. This is a bad defense so it feels like the type of game where they will feed Cooper

That's typical of Amari. He's a bit streaky.

He'll have 3 games in a row where his stat line is something like...

3 catches, 35 yds,  5 catches, 43 yds, 3 catches, 29 yds.

Then the 4th game will be something like

9 catches, 175 yd, 2TDs

Let's hope it's this week.  My team needs a win.

He’s healthy & getting the targets, just not connecting yet. Lots of teams passing games are sputtering right now too. His averages last year with Watson were something like 6-96 per game so he’ll turn it around

Did you go to college? Are you familiar with small sample sizes and things like that?

Cooper is still a good WR and if Watson can even play at a replacement level he can be a top 20 wr. The problem is that watson is focking putrid. It looks like he has forgot how to play qb. His passes look terrible. At this point he is Trent Dilfer without the ring.

agreed.   he did show a little in this last game.  Just enough to make me think maybe better days are ahead.   but I wouldnt hold my breath.  hes been bad for a while here.

I told you 😁

Maybe not quite there with the yards but a pretty good game nonetheless

You can see it coming, based on his target share. He’s their wr1.

He put up big numbers for me this week, but I stil lost.

Currently 1-2

Injuries suck just like regular football.

this is 100% true.   I am more injury averse than many so I discount for that perhaps more than a lot of other people, but in the end I have less of this kind of thing to deal with.   I dont mind the tradeoff.

That's fantasy football for you...

I'm fortunate to be 2-1. My two wins, I had absolute garbage weeks and my one loss will almost certainly be one of the 3 highest scores I have all season.

My leagues are a little all over the place...but one league I just can not score points in- the guys just don't all have a good week at once

There's just so many players under performing, it's kind of been unpredictable.

The only two consistent players I've had on my team, who had a decent game all 3 weeks, is Justin Jefferson and Kyren Williams. Both of whom had big ? attached to their names before the season. Everyone else has been complete boom or bust, mostly bust...

My one team I've been lighting people up even with my waiver wire pickups. I had Deebo from the draft, he went down so i grabbed Jennings and he went off.

I try to load up on the early season waiver wire pick ups too.

My league is a dynasty league and I've learned these first few weeks of the season are a gold mine for lesser known rookies and younger players

Yep, Saquon especially...

Rashee Rice has been amazing too so far. He has a bright future in KC if he can stay out of trouble

So back to Cooper…anyone heard what happened to him at the end of the game?

All I've heard is undisclosed injury but it didn't sound serious
