After initial health screening by CBP at the point of encounter, noncitizens are tested by ICE (single adults), [state, local, tribal, and territorial government/non-governmental organizations] partnerships and [DHS Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office] contractors in support of CBP (family units), or HHS (unaccompanied children). I just want to point out how stupid and unfair it is to MILLIONS of citizens who want to live in the most desirable locations within this lovely country we have. Who have to live under the whims of people who live in Iowa. The biggest state population wise, the 5th biggest economy in the world alone is out represented on a per vote share basis by Arizona. Based on the Electoral College. Cactus done vote. On 9/22/2024 at 12:40 PM, purdygood said: The "blue left" may be over represented by the census. And the House. But the "Red Right" is over represented in the Senate. The President shouldn't need the Electoral College. It should be elected by ALL the citizens regardless of where they live. Then they can all work together. But the "Red Right" has a advantage in two of those three currently... Because of the Electoral College. So a lot of "Blue Voters" feel like Rural areas (less people) are making decisions for them. (More people) Just like many Rural voters are "afraid" CA and NY will make decisions for them if it goes away. This site shows an excellent graph of which states "lose" votes and which "gain" based on representation in Congress vs. population: https://usafacts.org/visualizations/electoral-college-states-representation/ Because every state gets 2 for Senators, the smallest states all get 3 EC votes vs. just 1. But Cali still gets 55 (albeit instead of 65). So yes, your vote counts "less," but not too much less. Also, looking at that chart, it seems to me fairly distributed between Red and Blue as to which states lose votes vs. which gain. If you read that otherwise, let me know. Finally, I'm not sure why you would pick AZ as your example. You'll note from the graph that AZ is on the losing (larger) side as well. Plus it is one of the fastest growing states, in large part because people from your shiot hole keep moving here in droves, bringing the same liberal policies that are destroying Cali. Thanks for nothing.
