She's hoping to goad him into more ridiculousness on a national stage, likely as close to the election as possible. She doesn't need to debate him, she just needs to sound semi competent and say a few choice words about crowd sizes, being a convicted felon, his weird hair, etc. Basically the exact opposite of what other world leaders do to Trump, flattering him until he agrees to whatever they want.
