Anyone wanna defend this โ€œpatriotโ€? ๐Ÿคฃ

WASHINGTON โ€” An ex-soldier who was previously court-martialed for shooting a handcuffed Iraqi civilian was sentenced to over four years in federal prison Monday for assaulting officers during the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Edward Richmond Jr. assaulted officers with a baton inside the lower west tunnel leading into the Capitol, where some of the worst violence on Jan. 6, 2021, took place, yelling, "Weโ€™ll break you motherf---er!" according to video evidence cited by prosecutors.

Richmond was sentenced to 51 months in federal prison after he pleaded guilty this year to a felony count of assaulting, resisting or impeding an officer with a deadly weapon.

The FBI arrested Richmond in January after online sleuths identified him as the man โ€” whom they nicknamed โ€œBuff Lightyearโ€ โ€” featured as No. 182 on the FBI's Capitol Violence website.

Back in 2004, Richmond was convicted of manslaughter for "shooting a hand-cuffed Iraqi cow herder in the head" and was sentenced to three years of military confinement, after which he was dishonorably discharged from the military, prosecutors said in his Jan. 6 case. Several news accounts at the time confirmed those details. Because of that and other factors, Richmond had been one of a limited number of Jan. 6 defendants who were ordered detained before trial.

A dozen justifiable sentencesย does not justify 1200 unjustifiable ones.ย  Time served.ย  Move on from this black day in our corrupt justice system.ย  Let's start imprisoning those who setup J6 and lied about it.ย  ย Let's find out which FBI agents were involved in planting the fake pipe bombs that day.ย  Let's find out who had all the government phone messages deleted and phones destroyed.ย  Let's find out just which hundred people in the crowd were government operatives.ย  ย Let's find out why security was so lax that day, why doors were opened and why protestors were led to the floor of the house and to the speakers office.ย ย

Wasn't it France that fully opened their borders for a while then smacked their own heads saying "WTF are we doing!!??" and then shut it down completely a few years back?ย

Are suggesting President Trump is going to pardon this person?ย  If so, I'll bet he doesn't.

No - but he has suggested pardoning some J6 defendants and that's pretty absurd and I won't be surprised if he does (not this particular case).

I wouldn't be surprised by SOME either.ย  This is not the thread to interject Trump pardoning January 6er's tho.ย  This guy is clearly a bad egg.

Every single J6 will be pardoned, without exception.ย  ย It was 100 percent entrapment and malicious prosecutions.ย  Capitol Police escalated crowd violence by indiscriminately shooting pellets into the crowd and tear gas.ย  ย FBI operatives in the crowd instigated andย encouraged violence.ย  ย

He's probably not going to pardon him because he doesn't need them anymore.

He'll pardon them. They saved American elections and are all heroes. Your dumbass liberal press just won't report it.ย

WASHINGTON โ€” A Donald Trump supporter who was among the first rioters to breach the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, has been convicted of plotting to kill FBI special agents who investigated him over his crimes at the Capitol.

Edward Kelley, who was convicted last week of assaulting law enforcement officers and other crimes during the Capitol attack, was found guilty on Wednesday on three additional charges: conspiracy to murder employees of the United States; solicitation to commit a crime of violence; and influencing or retaliating against federal officials by threat.

The murder plot trial, which started Monday, took place in Knoxville, Tennessee. NBC News affiliate WBIR in Knoxville reported that the jury convicted Kelley on all three counts after just an hour of deliberation. Kelley will be sentenced in the murder plot case on May 7, one month after he is set to be sentenced on his Capitol case, on April 7.

Yeah, because the Biden DOJ dragged their feet and acted like pvssies. True to their democratic roots, they were scared of "pushback" or being called mean names.
