listen2me 23 1,752 Posted Tuesday at 01:48 PM What if thats the first down marker and the guy expects a slide and Lawrence instead tries to barrel forward and through the guy? The defender trying to play fast now has to guess? What if thats Josh Allen and you just get trucked because you slowed down to be "careful" while you get laid out? The overwhelming outcry of how dirty it was, it a bit much. Those things will happen whrn you focking teach QB to get in a tobaggan with their head straight up in the air whilr a guys flying at you trying yo make a tackle. They literally teach QBs to go into thr most defenseless position possible. If Lawrence simply puts 2 arms around thr ball and braces for a tackle....he gets up and plays thr next play. Instead thry teach them to go into an extreme defenseless position and hope they didnt slide too late. If we want to protect QBs and they want protection thrn they have to do their part. Instead QBs tey to squeeze every last inch out of a run and slide. A guy like Mahomes runs towards sideline, defenders slow thrn he tippy toes for 8 more more yards. Its ridiculous. You want protection? Quit playing games. Quote Texans' Azeez Al-Shaair suspended 3 games after Trevor Lawrence hit The NFL suspended Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair three games for repeated violations of player safety rules after his hit to the head of Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence on Sunday. Jon Runyan, the NFL's vice president of football operations, announced the suspension Tuesday, adding in a letter to Al-Shaair that the league deemed the hit "unacceptable" and that his "continued disregard" for rules governing player safety "will not be tolerated." Al-Shaair was ejected in the second quarter of Houston's victory Sunday over Jacksonville after his violent blow to the face mask of Lawrence while he was sliding to the ground, causing the star quarterback to suffer a concussion. "You were involved in a play that the [NFL] considers unacceptable and a serious violation of the playing rules," Runyan wrote Tuesday. "Video shows you striking the head/neck area of Jaguars' quarterback Trevor Lawrence after he clearly goes down in a feet-first slide. ... You led with your forearm and helmet and delivered a forceful blow to the head/neck area of your opponent when you had time and space to avoid such contact." Wow. As Rex Ryan was saying. You are protecting QBs by telling them to slide into a LBers coming straught down hill. You are putting them in a totally defenseless position and hoping they started the slide early enough.
listen2me 23 1,752 Posted Wednesday at 12:00 PM The Packers have 3 WRs in top 10 of drops. 3rd mozt, t4th, t7th. The guy who with thr eye test has thr aorst hands of the bunch has 1 drop. A beautiful deep ball right in thr hands and dropped the other week. Pretty bad when none of them have an abundance of targets yet rank so high on drops.
