The Final All-Out Blitzes of the season (2024) ...

Recommended Posts

It's that time of year again, folks!!

As you remember from the previous few years, I like to devote my final three columns of the season to answer your start/sit or dynasty questions for the fantasy playoffs. Please ask them below or tweet me @DougOrth. Please be aware with my column dropping on Fridays now, I may not address your waiver questions in the articles. I should be able to do so on the board, however.

All I ask is that you include anything that would help me sway my decision one way or the other, especially if there is an unusual scoring setup.

  • Thanks 1

Thanks Doug!

I asked you same question last year each week about Cooper Kupp, Puca Nakua, or Chris Olave. I'm defending league champ, so it worked out well!

Any way, this season my RBs and WRs are set in stone unless injury. I"m juggling QBs.

Dynasty league, 1 pt 50 pyds, 1 pt 25 ryds, all 6 pt TDs, 6 pt bonus for TDs over 40 yds, an extra 3 pt bonus over 50 yds. 6 pts at 300 yds.

Baker Mayfield at LAC

CJ Stroud vs Miami

Drake Maye at Arizona

Anthony Richardson at Denver

Best time of the year once again. Thanks for your advice and all your good works. I need 2 out of these four receivers, who all profile similarly. Half ppr

Malik Nabers vs Baltimore, Jordan Addison vs Da Bears, Adam Thielien vs, Dallas, and Calvin Ridley@ Cinci. TIA, cheers...

Thanks, Guru! Always have appreciated your insight.

Two Q’s-

PPR starters

RB- C. Brown, B. Rob   WR- Nacua, London   Flex- Dowdle   Would you make any changes w/ J. Taylor, Deebo, and B. Thomas on the pine?

Pittsburg D has served me well, but a bad playoff stretch has me searching. Drop them and stream, or trust the process?

If it plays out right, I could go from 3rd to 1st

RB's Bijan, Chase Brown in my lineup

Flex J.Taylor vs DEN or Rhamondre Stevenson vs AZ?

1/2 ppr

Thanks

Full-point PPR league.  WR1 is C. Kupp; WR2 is J. Jennings.  Current WR3 is M. Nabers.  I also have: WR4 B. Thomas, and WR4 = M. Harrison (Jr.).  My .. last / bottom-3 all have .. QB issues.  Nabers has DeVito throwing behind a horrid O/L.  Thomas has "pop-gun" Jones TRYING to throw the long ball.  And, Harrison's QB loves throwing solely to his TE..

Stay with Nabers, or switch out to one of the other WRs?  (My top-2 will play Thursday night, and will be "locked-in")

Let me get this right: you are currently starting Thomas and Meyers and want to know if you should replace one (or both) of them with Reed, Metcalf or Thielen, correct?

I just want to make sure I am understanding this correctly.

Guru!  Looks like you're working on responses.  I've got another one for ya.  Full-point PPR.  My current TE1 is H. Henry, @ ARI.  He's been the only .. steady pass-catcher for NE this year.  I also picked up BUF TE1 D. Kinkaid, who will be in a shoot-out @ DET.  And, I have NO TE1 J. Johnson, but he's with a significant downgrade at QB this week, vs. WAS.

Stay with Hunter?

I would probably start Hunter Henry. Bills spread the ball around a lot; so it is kind of hard to predict who will get catching stats and Saints don't really have a great QB starting; after the Carr injuries.

Pollard has logged a couple of DNPs.  If he sits, start Spears (v. Bengals) over Nabers (v. Ravens)?

TD league with 100 yard bonus (a typical 9-70 from Nabers doesn't help me much in this league).

I discussed some of these in a previous question I answered (in the article), so I would keep your RB starters the same and play Taylor over Stevenson. I think the Cardinals had a one-off last week and should enjoy some positive game script this week.

I guess I would be surprised if Pollard sits. However, we have to treat it as a possibility, so ...

I would prefer what I believe would be a 15-touch ceiling in a good matchup over what Nabers has to deal with at QB against a defense that is playing better than it was earlier in the season. I think Spears would also have a much better chance at 100 yards than Nabers if Pollard is ruled out.

Thanks Doug

Baker was whom I was leaning towards for pretty much the same reasons you mentioned.

Hope he has a big game!

Great article, Doug! Two half PPR lineup questions for you (I also posted this to the article comments):
1 - Pitts or J.Johnson. Haener is a question mark as you mention but Pitts has been MIA recently. He does have a good matchup this week of course. Schultz is also available.
2 - At flex I need to choose from Bigsby, E.Moore (Tillman ruled out and Njoku questionable), Allen (only if Hall gets ruled out), and Edwards. Downs was dropped and I could possibly pick him up.

Thanks!

D Ridder is going to start for the Raiders, I’m thinking of switching Thomas in for Meyers.

No, I’m going to stay with Meyers.

1. All things considered, I would probably go with Schultz. And I would not like it one bit.

2. I don't know who would need to be dropped to get Downs, but he should be on a roster at the very least. I think I would feel the best about starting him, followed by Moore (especially if Njoku is ruled out).

Thanks for the input, Doug!  I ended up going with Johnson and Moore after Njoku was ruled out and the weather looked decent, but there were no good options in hindsight. Henry also underwhelmed but I’ll still advance thanks to Hurts, Gibbs, Adams, McLaurin, and the KC D.

I did pick up Downs (dropped Edwards) so he’ll be an option next week.

I guess Spears was the play even with Pollard active - who knew?  Anyways, Nabers did good enough to get me to week 16.  Same TD league with 100 yard bonus: start Stevenson @BUF, LaPorta @CHI or Otton @DAL?

Oh yes!

I picked him up too about 3 weeks ago!

He's been a savior at TE from my K Pitts, S LaPorta debacle...
