Looking Ahead to Redrafts 2025: First Four Rounds

Recommended Posts

This is something I like to post on site in early January and then update it every few weeks for a couple of months. The first edition assumes minimal team changes for the following players (which isn't realistic) and does not include potential rookies. This is just a glimpse of what a redraft (non-PPR) might look like for 2025 based upon what is known today. It is meant to generate some discussion, so feel free to disagree and/or offer up alternative choices. QBs are also valued a little higher by me based on some of the scoring systems I play being QB-friendly.

Round One:

1. Saquon Barkley
2. Jahmyr Gibbs
3. Bijan Robinson
4. Ja'Marr Chase
5. Derrick Henry
6. Kyren Williams
7. Jonathan Taylor
8. Justin Jefferson
9. Josh Jacobs
10. Amon-Ra St. Brown
11. CeeDee Lamb
12. Lamar Jackson

Round Two:

13. De'Von Achane
14. Josh Allen
15. Joe Mixon
16. Puka Nacua
17. James Cook
18. Brian Thomas, Jr.
19. Malik Nabers
20. Bucky Irving
21. Breece Hall
22. Joe Burrow
23. A.J. Brown
24. Brock Bowers

Round Three:

25. Drake London
26. Christian McCaffrey
27. Nico Collins
28. Terry McLaurin
29. Mike Evans
30. James Conner
31. George Kittle
32. Chase Brown
33. Jalen Hurts
34. Jayden Daniels
35. Chuba Hubbard
36. Tyreek Hill

Round Four:

37. Trey McBride
38. Alvin Kamara
39. Tee Higgins
40. David Montgomery
41. Baker Mayfield
42. Garrett Wilson
43. Jared Goff
44. Jameson Williams
45. Marvin Harrison, Jr.
46. Aaron Jones
47. Courtland Sutton
48. Jaxon Smith-Njigba

Honorable mention: Ladd McConkey, Davante Adams, Mark Andrews

Thoughts??

I would drop Kyren and Mixon a little bit.

I think Ladd should be on this list somewhere, he was #12 WR in the league I won this year, pretty focking good for a room.

Probably move Puka and Bucky up a little.

Not sure I'd have that many QBs in the top 48.

Good starting point though, when's the draft?

Unless you are baking in another Monty injury, he is too low.  He is a probably a late 1st/early 2nd rounder (and a Gibbs ACL away from being a top 5 back).  Not sure Barkley should be number one overall - mostly because it is really tough to put together back-to-back great rushing years (and he is no spring chicken).  Not sure who is better to go #1, but at this point I'd rather have a shot at Taylor or Kyren later in the first round than having to pick #1.  I could see Chase Brown as a second rounder - there were doubters this preseason but he did all right and his arrow seems to be pointing upward (the primary risk limiting upside being Burrow's habit of throwing 2-yard TD passes).

Good list but way too many RBs at the top.

There should not a be a QB in the 1st round of any draft other than Superflex. Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas JR need to be higher up.

Nico needs to be much higher as well.

Fair points, but remember this is non-PPR.

I stand corrected. My bad, I'm always in PPR mode, haha.

Also, I would suggest that there are a few QBs that are worth high picks. Those that had Lamar, Burrow, and/or Allen this year won a lot of leagues because of it. Yes, those that got Baker Mayfield, Jared Goff, and/or Jayden Daniels did, too, and didn't have to pay a high price for those guys, but it can be hard to predict who will become elite from year to year. With Lamar and Josh Allen, you know what you're getting as you also do with Burrow assuming he stays healthy.
