That's my biggest beef with Democrats, especially the ones in here. Total hypocrites that will deny, deny deny and lie right to your face even when they know they're wrong.

I think Trump broke Democrats after his first term. The poor things don't know if they're coming or going anymore, it's sad.

To be a democrat is the first step in admitting you have a problem. Low IQ, weak, and flat out lacking in every skill it takes to be a normal human being.

You do it, everyday in here.

Call it like it is BOYO. You still defend Woke, you still defend DEI, you still think Kamala would of been a good President and you still think that Biden did a good job.

You're either insane, lying or a damn good troll.

Its funny because Democrats move from using the filibuster to opposing it, purely depending on whether the power of it benefits them or not.

And yet here you have Thune representing the standard Republican position to support it for the ability of those not in power to still have a voice.....the disparity between the two parties on stark display.

Just curious. If you pardon someone who is not officially charged with a crime, how the heck does that work?

Beats me, but apparently you can do it.

I am hopeful that these pardons might effectively force Democrats to admit their crimes.   It might not.  But my god if it does.....we cannot prosecute them of course, but putting them om full display should hurt the Democrat party really effectively.

If indeed it is a real thing that they can pardon a non charged "criminal", then it MUST be a timeline thing no? Can't be charged in the future for anything they did BEFORE pardon date? But if they kill someone tomorrow and get caught, then it's free game? I never even heard of that before. I'm just guessing now.

Trump's team is arguing that. You can't pardon people for something that hasn't happened. If that was the case you could pardon the World.

Not sure about the future, I doubt it....

I am thinking about the most corrupt people.....Schiff, Pelosi, Schumer and then those around the Jan 6th committee......

What if congress subpoenas them to testify about their participation?   Can they refuse to show up? Refuse to answer?   Or can we get them to admit the things they did?   Since they face no danger of prosecution?  They either refuse to answer or they do, and maybe we can catch them perjuring themselves.

I do not expect any of them to actually be held to account.   But the value of exposing them for what they really are could benefit Republicans for the next decade....

Right. Don't pardons need to state what you are pardoning them for? I've never seen what one looks like.

Democrats have no power. We can criticize Republican actions, and no doubt we will, but you guys are wasting time focusing on us. We lost the Presidency, the House, the Senate. It’s your show. Fix things, bring down prices like you promised. We can’t stop you.

You hit it on the head there. There are a few things I'm sure, it's better if the public doesn't know, but this kind of garbage should be announced from the mountain tops if we could find out the truth of it all. It would be a beautiful wakeup call to every citizen of this country. Just expose the depths of the anti Trump movement that went on for years and years. And both sides of the aisle voters would demand more accountability and transparency from here on out to the point that people would be appointed to keep an eye on things. Those people who used to be the media but are now paid for political "news" actors

So they want to eliminate the filibuster, good, they should it's anti-democratic and goes against the intentions of the founding fathers. But as long as it exists they would be remiss if they didn't use the tools available to them.  Personally, I think they should let the GOP push through whatever they want and show truly how they want to govern, let em sink or swim all on there own.

1) Jim Jordan was subpoenaed by the Jan 6 committee and refused to show up and there was no penalty.

2) As noted before, they could refuse to answer questions (via the 5th amendment) for any actions that are not covered by the pardons.

3) Assuming they showed up (and why should they if Jim Jordan didn't have to?) they could be compelled to answer questions if given full immunity from prosecution for anything they admit to.

Your guy was president of the United States a few days ago. WTF are you talking about?

And I thought you were fully backing him? It must be because you thought he was doing a great job. No? But now you are saying there are a bunch of things that need to be fixed? He's been in office for 4 years for God's sake. You all had 12 of the last 16 years in the white house.

Make up your mind. Jeez.

I do not concur with your position on this.

While i is true that the Republicans are in power and might be able to force their policies into play, I think there is value in the mediation of that policy that the filibuster affords us.

I think that about 50%of America not in support of Republicans can still have a voice through the filibuster, and I think it is good and healthy for the democracy.

If Republicans are compelled to put forth policy so as to at least secure some Democrat support, then the policy is potentially better.  It is through conflict and debate that we hone the best outcomes.

Great points.  I recall your assertions, so then it makes sense that there is likely no route available to get to the truth via subpoena....😒

Ok. So when a liberal is in office, you preach unity. But when a conservative is in office, you preach division.

Typical liberal. Too bad for you though as you are not the first to put that into practice. Your party of choice has been for division for many years now.

Trump should right now pardon every conservative in government in perpetuity just for fun to see how the liberals react.

I probably used 'perpetuity' wrong but who really cares?

Give it 2 years with R in charge of everything and the hypocrisy magically goes away.

so you think we have to wait two years for the Republicans to become a s hypocritical as the Democrats?

Hell, why wait, why aren’t they doing it right now? I mean, if there’s so much the same, I would assume that thing would be trying to get rid of the filibuster right now and yet he’s not ….. how about that?

Like being against Deporting Violent Criminals?

You should be praising Trump for making us safer. Instead you're acting like a typical Liberal and putting your Party ahead of what's best for the people. You'll never get me respect

They support keeping violent criminals in the US and killing babies born alive that survived abortion. They also support racism in hiring decisions, sexual perverts having access to children, kneeling for the flag, ignoring the constituion, packing the courts, and highlighting/emphasizing all the lowest points and worst policies of the past when teaching US history.

They're evil scum. here they're hypocrits. Thune is keeping the fillibuster in place despite these shortsighted focktards who were all ready/anxious to scrap it two years ago.

I am not so sure it is a waste of time.

The more exposure the better. I see value in highlighting the drastic distinctions in behavior.

The less people vote for Democrats, the better their lives will be, this point needs to be made over and over.

First things first. Bring down energy costs and everything else will follow. If it still costs too much to bring goods to market, market prices will reflect that fact.

Drill baby drill!

Let's compare prices next year when it makes sense.

This crap again.

1. I want violent criminals punished and if they are undocumented deported.

2. I want undocumented people who aren’t violent criminals left alone.

3. This isn’t going to change, no matter what happens to me personally (hopefully nothing does.)
