In recent weeks, notable conservatives have revealed their perversions and damaged personalities as they refer to Trump as America's daddy who has returned to punish and correct a disobedient nation. MAGA seems to have a very weird, twisted, and violent relationship with their dads. This most likely explains why they’ve turned to Donald Trump, a vindictive sexual abuser, as their surrogate father. Mel Gibson went on Fox and praised Trump’s visit to California by saying, “It’s like daddy arrived and he’s taking his belt off.”  Tucker Carlson  told the Georgia crowd that America was behaving like a “hormone-addled 15-year-old girl slamming the door and giving you the finger.” His solution was electing Trump. “Dad comes home and he’s pissed.  you know what he says? You’ve been a bad girl. You’ve been a bad little girl and you’re getting a vigorous spanking right now.   Last Sunday on Fox, Byron Donalds said, “Daddy’s back,” referring to Trump’s return to power.  A Public Religion Research Institute study from the Fall revealed the strong connection between the role of patriarchy, attitudes on child-rearing, and religiosity that directly predict one’s support for both Trump and violent authoritarianism. We are all now hijacked by powerful men like Donald Trump, whose parental figures were mostly vindictive, cruel, or absent. They resent women they can’t control. They see humility and self-reflection as a weakness. Love and kindness have no place for “proud boys” who choose to cosplay as alpha men to hide their fragile egos and pathetic cowardice. Masculinity to them is a fist instead of a welcoming palm. It’s grabbing women by the puzzy instead of going to the grocery store with them. It’s violently spanking their children instead of spending time getting to know them.
