This Eagles team is much better than the one that barely lost to the Chiefs two years ago. I can’t confidently predict anyone to beat KC, but I feel pretty good about Philly’s chances.

This will be an Eagles route.  Barkley will run wild, Hurts will have his way and that weak Chiefs offense will be held in check.

42-3 Eagles

Chiefs have been one of the best teams against the run this year, but the bills were running at will.   Getting five yards on every first down, ending up with a bunch of 2nd and short or manageable...

That was a bit concerning.

What route will they be taking?

I will watch.

Hey, how was the game with your son?  You said that's the 3rd championship you've gone to, right?

Also, have you seen them in the SB?  I passed on going to the Cardinals one in 2009; figured they'd be back, right?  Yeah, that was 16 years ago. In other words, go!

As such, we've taken our two kids who still live here (and are the two who are sports fans) to various playoff games including the World Series in 23 with the DBacks vs. Rangers (DBacks got killed that game, oh well).

It was awesome, we had a great time.  The first one we went to was in January of 2019 when they lost to the Patriots in Pat's first year as the starter.  My boy would have been right at 12 years old and he was disappointed they lost, but I remember telling him this loss felt a whole lot different than the past playoff losses I remembered and not to worry because the future looked bright.  Holy cow I didn't realize it was going to be 5 Super Bowls in the next 6 years with a chance to win four of those bright when I was telling him that.

I have not been to a Super Bowl, and I got the email saying my account was not selected in the random lottery for season ticket holders.  Maybe next year :dunno:

It's in Nawlins; offer @BunnysBastatrds a case of beer and a black magic woman house cleaner, and I'm sure he can score you some tickets!  :D

Haaa! I was a season ticket holder for almost forty years. Whenever the Super Bowl was played here, we get a chance to get two tickets through this crazy lottery system that they came up with. Season ticket holders were only allotted for less than 2% of the tickets. The rest go to 20% of the fans on both teams (10%) each, and the rest are corporate companies and sponsors. If my Cool Pops and I would have won two, we would be on Bourbon Street holding them up. My Dad was the best at negotiating skills. I gave up my season tickets three years ago, so I’m out.

A black magic woman would entice me to try though🎁

Paperless tickets don't really fly any more.   But yeah I grew up buying from scalpers.   Now I'm the scalper ala stubhub and seatgeek.

I have been fortunate enough to attend two. ironically, one while in HS, one while in collage.

49ers vs mia at Stanford. i was a sophomore in hs and went with my father. it was like a home game. very easy.

49ers vs Den in New Orleans. this was a pretty amazing trip. (long story involving how i eventually started dating my wife). my closest friend went to Loyola. i flew to Houston to see a friend (and her friend who i was casually seeing). we then drove to New Orleans for the week. I snuck into the superdome and watched the broncos practice. players out every night.  really good time. buddy and i also scalped... wait for kickoff for prices to drop and got in at face value.

I think a few on here have heard our courting story. i will save that for another time

BeenHereBefore thinks the David Tyree catch was a conspiracy :bench:

Ah the refs would probably thrown a late PI if he didn't catch it. I don't think they cared that much who won the SB but wanted the undefeated Pats in it for the story line and ratings.. It worked out like a charm for them, got the ratings and fans was happy in the end.

Got to imagine nearly all of America is rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles, except for salty fans of other NFCE teams. 🦅

You’ll be posting here during the game as usual.  No friends.

How did this fall off the first page? I didn’t have a dog in this race, just ,want a great game.

CMH and me are the only active Geeks I know of who root for either of these teams. There’s a lot of Chiefs fatigue and salty NFCE fans. And a lot of MAGAs who won’t root for the Eagles because Father Trump is still butt hurt that they snubbed him years ago.
