If I was a meh team, I'd do whatever I could to get in position for a QB in 2027. QBs could go 1 thru 5 in the draft Uh-oh. May want to re-think my strategy. If the Jets are doing something, it's usually the wrong thing. Quote

I still cannot be sure just what we have in him, but so far I see enough potential to justify investment. my largest concern with him was all the crap that goes on off the field. its a bit of a gong show. I was less concered about what he actually brings on the field. And the fact he slid in the draft likely actually made him more likely to make it as a pro. if he was a first round pick the guys ego would have been almost unbearable. so he had a kick in his complacency (arguably) at the time he needed it the most. I dont bear the kid any ill will. but If I was a coach I dont know that Id want his old man questioning my coaching decisions with respect to his son. (which feels like a very real possibility for whoever coaches this kid) but talent wise, I had him rated as a 2nd round player (which likely means as a QB that he should go in the last half of round 1) but that's not the way it played out. Likely due to the off field thing and perhaps some of the arrogance shown in the interviews. To me, that likely meant he actually deserved that slide in the draft. but he owned it and has performed at a level where he could be a viable pro. its still too early to say but based on what I have seen, the potential is there. its up to him to make the most of it. whether he has what it takes remains to be seen but if I had him on my roster in a dynasty league, I'd likely find a way to hold him just to see if he pans out as a player. Vikings4ever Posted January 26 Posted January 26 https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/shedeur-sanders-added-to-the-afc-pro-bowl-roster Quote Whether Sanders gets that shot or not, he’ll always be able to tell people that he was a Pro Bowler. According to multiple reports, Sanders, who was a fifth-round pick last April, has been named to the AFC roster for the Pro Bowl Games as a replacement. Quote

GobbleDog Posted January 27 Posted January 27 They quit playing the Pro-Bowl game in 2022... so why do they still need to name replacements? Just name the real Pro Bowlers and call it a day. The football "events" can be filled by whoever. So stupid. So Sanders is now a "pro-bowler" ... 7 Tds and 10 Ints.... that's gotta be the worst statistical record to ever get it. Way to cheapen the pro-bowl name. 1 Quote

TBayXXXVII Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Reminds me of the year Jameis Winston made the pro bowl his rookie season, when 9 other QB's passed. He was essentially the 12th QB that year because the other 2 spots were already filled and 9 had already passed. A lot of Buccaneers fans were giving him way more credit than he deserved. Quote

TBayXXXVII Posted January 27 Posted January 27 1 hour ago, Showboat said: Agree, but isn't that what the "all pro" teams already are? Not exactly. The All-Pro teams are the best players at their position in the NFL. It's a starting lineup, not a full roster in each conference. Also, that's voted on by writers, not fans, players, and coaches. So, there's only 1 All-Pro QB (not 6 like the Pro Bowl), only 2 RB's on the All-Pro team (not 6 like the Pro Bowl), etc. Though, the Pro Bowl is moving towards that, all on it's own. They're now playing Flag football. Really? Why bother at this point? Quote
