I don't understand the thread title being attached to this story. Why not just report the story without riling up who does or doesn't think it will cause riots. What a weird thing even think and then ask in a thread.

You see how that works? When justice is applied correctly, there are no riots. 

This.  Also the person that did the killing is not a police officer, or basically pretending to be one like George Zimmerman.  How often have there been riots over just 1 civilian killing another?  And even in cases where the dead guy is a criminal and contributed to his own death like George Floyd, police are expected to try to get out of situations like that without people dying.

I’m sure he didn’t deserve to get stabbed, I repeat, I’m sure he didn’t deserve to get stabbed. But we don’t know if “he was doing something stupid.”  What the heck does “he was sitting in the wrong seat” even mean?  Pretty sure high school track meets don’t have assigned seating.

No there will not be riots. 

I really hate how these stories divide people, but at the same time I get it....the media reports stories differently based on DEI which of course people take issue.  The whole thing stinks.  I do not know the whole story but a dude at a HS track meet stabbing a guy to death doesn't sound good.  Hopefully the Justice System prevails.  :dunno:

The dad says in the article he doesn’t have access to the money. 

And the givesendgo does not say it’s for legal defense (side note, it’s funny to see righties all upset about givesendgo now when not long ago they were heroes for allowing conservative-friendly campaigns that gofundme wouldn’t).

The Anthony family already lived in a wealthy suburb (in a house valued over $800K), they already had money. There is chatter on x about a new Escalade, but sounds like that was purchased in 2023.

Yeah black people are definitely rallying around the (alleged) murderer.  Honestly the comments about this case on x are pretty reprehensible from both sides, @peenie does have a point about whites trying to use this instance to generalize about blacks as a whole.

I sure never heard about it except here. I only heard about this story here. You know, you all need to become more "woke" and recognize that the news outlets are really trying to keep us from uniting. 

Woke - to be aware, informed, dig deep to discover the truth and not just accept what you are told (this is the old meaning) 

Gofundme did not allow him to have a fundraiser.  GiveSendGo did.   They also allowed fundraisers for J6ers, Kyle Rittenhouse and Daniel Penny.  Their founder has been very vocal about making sure Anthony gets a competent defense:

Bear with me for a minute. 

2010 i started teaching carry permit classes.  I did it as a way to earn money to pay for my training and my guns and gear. 

 

Back then,  Sandy Hook sent business ballistic.  I mean from 10-12 students in a good class to 45-50.  Overnight. 

Lasted a couple months.  

Then, every school shooting,  it's the same thing. I was killing it.  Then it dies. 

It's been that way since I started it. 

Now? School shootings don't even move the needle.  Not even a little.

My business model has always been based on the idea that our society is in its infancy of demise. 

The summer of love with George Floyd, well let's just say that was an awesome 2 years of covid and love.

Are riots coming?

Many are.  I wouldn’t say it’s really anyone that actually has any “influence” though that I’ve seen.
