I’m guessing he’s doing the lie like when he insisted “Disney+ lost subscribers”…talking about specific people “coming off,” but ignoring if more went on than came off

No he's just incredibly stupid.  He gets all his information from talk radio, Facebook and the NY Post and believes all the lies he's told

Gas is $2.20 a gallon. Fuel prices dictate manufacturing costs.

My money is appreciating daily, building costs are going down and consumer confidence is up.

This is a pretty damn strong market for those who know how to make money.

If you're lazy and looking for the Government to FIX YOUR LIFE, then it's never going to work for you. This is how it's going to remain, no matter who's president.

Figure it out and thrive, get 2-3 jobs if you're hungry. That's how we all came up.

Fuel prices do not dictate manufacturing costs.  This is a lie.  Labor and raw materials do.

Building costs are up due to tariffs and labor shortages.  Consumer confidence is down 30% from a year ago hitting its lowest level ever.

You're lying.

It's a great market for the wealthy.  Ever hear of a k shaped economy?  People on the top doing great, middle and lower class suffering.

Agree, but ever hear of working harder?

If you can't afford to live then work harder. Isn't that what your ancestors endured? Liberals want to whine and do nothing about it but blame Trump.

Hard work WILL get you out of despair. Am I right?

Ah yes, work harder, the mantra of every privileged well off white man who has it all.

There are millions of hard working Americans who are struggling in this country that has been built to favor the elites.

John Deere building two factories in the US. They had been building them in Mexico. Doesn’t UPS and Amazon always have layoffs after the holidays?

1 factory, announced in 2023.  Stop posting in this thread.  Stick to your racist garbage.

Didn't know exactly where this went best and figured it would be a nice diversion from Artest kicking HT's azz over and over.

The price of heating oil for homes is skyrocketing right now jumping like 67 cents in a week. Some of that is the storm that gripped the country obviously but this from OilPrice.com also speaks to the price spike:

Quote

Crude oil inventories in the United States decreased by 2.3 million barrels during the week ending January 24, according to new data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) released on Wednesday. The decrease brings commercial stockpiles to 423.8 million barrels according to government data, which is 3% below the five-year average for this time of year.

The EIA’s data release follows API’s figures that were released a day earlier, which suggested that crude oil inventories fell by 247,000 barrels.

Crude prices were trading up on Wednesday morning with geopolitical risk premiums continuing to deteriorate as US supply realizes actual winter storm-related disruptions. At 8:45 a.m. in New York, Brent was trading at $68.11 per barrel—up $0.54 (+0.80%) on the day and up more than $3 per barrel week over week. WTI was also trading up, by $0.61 per barrel (+0.98%) in early trade at $63 per barrel.

So basically- the US is experiencing winter storm disruptions which is exacerbating a situation caused by the state of the world. Not to mention that production is down like 3% from normal.

Make of all that what you will.

it will take time, but if we get Venezuela production back on line that will really help lower oil & gas prices.  Venezuela has the most proven oil reserves in the world, but because of mismanagement, incompetence, and sanctions they produce and sell just a fraction of what they are capable of.

Luckily we have the well-managed and competent Trump administration to fix it.

And every oil company says that will take years, not months.

Again- as I said numerous times over the past 2-3 years. The overall markers of the economy are fine, but the day to day crunch is something people are feeling right now and you won't sell them otherwise.

I highly doubt Trump will be working the rigs with a hard hat and pipe wrench.  We do have the best when it comes to all phases of oil & gas production.

this was also a bad month for hiring. Challenger says that just about 5,300 announced hiring plans by companies. That was down 13% year-over-year. In fact, this was the lowest since Challenger started tracking this back in 2009. And remember, Sarah, all of this comes after last year, which was the weakest for the U.S. job market for job growth, outside of a recession, since 2003 under George W. Bush; and this report at least suggests that there was no big rebound during the month of January.

Normally I'd give an incoming POTUS a grace period of 6-9 months in regards to "owning" the economy; but Trump was so intent on a Hundred Days blitz that he kind of negates that grace.  If he had sunset more Federal employees and gave a further out deadline for the tariffs (both to allow American businesses and other countries in line), his outlook would be much more rosy.

He owns any failures of this economy.  There's no real tie back to Biden....but to be fair, if it succeeds...none of the Dems can ride on his coat tails.  He would own the success as well.

These student loans are never getting paid back. Who holds the paper on those?

The whole student loan system was ruined by liberals. I say we get rid of all of it and if people are not paying off their loans, they get tossed in prison for theft.

If college students can't afford their own education, then blame the parents for not raising their kids right.

Much like mortgages in 2008 these are a bomb that will go off. Hopefully much smaller.

I don't get how hard it was for people taking on mortgages to realize that they shouldn't do it. I  blame the people who handed them out AND even more the people who took them on

Make them work it off in the military.

People are dumb and greedy.

In the case of laying blame for the mortgage meltdown the people in charge are the ones who should bear the majority of the brunt IMO. They are supposed to be the ones with the keys and the ability to say no you can’t have this loan. They are greedy banker cvnts who created all the vehicles to roll up that debt. Without them the strippers in Florida couldn’t have gotten approved to buy 5 homes. But yeah that was an all time fiasco that could have crashed the whole system they say and there is some to go around.

Education is different and more complex. Don’t really care about who to blame necessarily, but it’s a ticking time bomb. I’m sure there’s all kinds of data out there as to how much is out there. Haven’t looked into it, but that article I posted shows how defaults are skyrocketing. I think the government holds the majority of the loans. No clue what happens when that isn’t paid back. I guess we’ll see because it ain’t happening 😂

How about people who “restructure” debt and stiff contractors, declare bankruptcy, etc?

Word gets around fast in the big city. No one will work for you if you keep stiffing people. Unless you rebrand.
