Parents call out unfairness as trans pitcher throws shutout in Minnesota softball state quarterfinals

It's not happening. 

 

The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) girls’ softball state tournament is officially under way — and so is the controversy surrounding Champlin Park’s starting pitcher.

Marissa Rothenberger, a trans-identifying male athlete, threw a complete-game shutout Wednesday morning as No. 2-seeded Champlin Park defeated No. 7 Eagan, 5-0, in the Class AAAA quarterfinals. Rothenberger allowed seven hits and struck out four in the win. 

Rothenberger, whose participation in girls’ sports highlights a growing trend across the state and country, threw 14 shutout innings in back-to-back games in the sectional finals to help Champlin Park reach the state tournament.

On Wednesday, not everyone in the stands was clapping.

Two Eagan parents, both of whom requested anonymity for the sake of their daughters, expressed frustration and disappointment after the game. One mother, wearing a "Save Girls’ Sports" T-shirt, said the outcome felt inevitable.

"I was pretty disappointed and frustrated," she told OutKick. "I think we've seen this happen over and over again to our girls. You look online, and you see women transitioning to men, and they're not dominating any of the men's sports. You don’t see that. But on the women's side, you see it over and over again across the country. It's super frustrating. I knew it was eventually going to happen to my daughter. I was sad to see it happen to her."

I find this stance curious every time I read it.  We all have our causes/obsessions.  You and the other libs here keep crying "due process" for people here illegally who are members of violent gangs.

The important thing is that Marissa was happy, not that their happiness destroyed fair competition for the other team.   Also, it only happens 0.00000001% of the time so we shouldn't care.  Excep

This is the first notable one I can recall in softball.

The trannies do seem to like track & field though.

It struck me as odd that a guy could be so successful pitching underhand, since boys don't grow up pitching that way.

But we are early, I'm confident that more will accomplish this sad success as we accept it as a society.  :( 

Sports like track and field, swimming... if there is no difference in the techniques, then the men will eventually prevail.

Never said it’s not happening.  But I’d say track & field seems to be the main sport where it’s not “rare.”    The lifelong injury you’re referring to happened 3 years ago

The one we know about.  And what's your point?  How long after an incident does a lifelong injury not count?

One time 3 years ago still seems pretty rare to me.

You think if there were more incidents of that that Riley Gaines, peefoam, and Tranny Overkill wouldn’t have heard about it???

I find this stance curious every time I read it.  We all have our causes/obsessions.  You and the other libs here keep crying "due process" for people here illegally who are members of violent gangs.  Some of us care about Americans and fairness for them, such as for women in sports who fought for decades and finally achieved some level of equal opportunity with mens sports only to have it snatched away by other men taking advantage of a tolerant society.  If I have to choose which "obsession" I'm associated with, it will be with the one favoring American women and not the one favoring violent illegal aliens.

Hypothetically, let's say your daughter was the star player on the team who lost the state championship, to the team with a trans (male) pitcher.
