Dan...how does it take you to research the pick? Dude.

More parking the car than researching.

No lie.

I don't like this point right here. I don't hate any specific pick, but I'm not crazy about walking away from this turn with 2 Arizona playmakers.  In a normal league, I'd look to trade.  But here, it was Harrison Jr, or settling for someone that I'm just not really as into, or comes with a question mark that bugs me. But I could have justified several other players.  I just decided to go with the talent and let depth take care of my "same team" angst.

The running backs here just feel like shaky ground still. Don't blame you for going WR...

Exactly this.

I love Marvin...but this.

Yes, and not a small thing. But the goal is to create a mock that people can look at and examine. If I were in a normal league, I would draft the talent, and work him as a commodity, especially when I didn't feel like there was a comparable "next" that I was interested in.

So . . . take the talent, work the talent.

Clinton Portis as a rookie was buried #4 on the depth chart. I traded more than seemed reasonable to the guy that I got up to #2 in our dynasty draft (rookies/FA), so that I could secure a guy that wasn't guaranteed playing time.  Because . . . he was talented.

Here . . . I'll just adjust in later rounds.

Definitely had my eye on Tee as early as 3.1

Agree.  Really good value at that pick to be sure.  This year it appears that more people are speculating down the list, so to speak.  Allowing higher value players to drop more than I have seen in the past.

Adams still put up 1,000 yards on a bad team last year.  I doubt he does any worse this year on the Rams.  I think he's solid value in the 4th round.

Adam’s was the only other guy that I was looking at.

A week ago, I would have taken Mixon with my 3rd pick. Chubb was awful last year, but another year removed from major surgery on a much better team? He may have enough left in the tank to diminish Mixon's fantasy value.

It's gettin' a little dicey out there at this point in the fraft.

I get the risk involved with Rashee Rice.. but when you make the decision to take a TE early and don’t pick again until 4.12, the upside of a top 10 receiver is too good to pass up. In another world, I’d see myself taking Tyreek at 3.1 (maybe London had I picked Barkley at 1.1) and finding a value TE later on. Obviously Rice as a WR2 is much more desirable and I could see this being the case in many of my $ drafts

Kamara was just a decision to emphasize RB with some theories I’ll maybe discuss during the mock Analysis

Pace has been good so far. Some of the team building concepts are coming into focus. This is my favorite part of the draft because of that.

This was a sketchy pick but I'm intrigued by Metcalf with Rodgers.  This could be the pick that really separates my team from the rest this year.  The steelers are a run first team but DK is still the WR1 and he has Rodgers feeding him the ball.  Could be interesting.

No way I take Williams this early in a PPR league. But, this is NOT a PPR draft and Williams's numbers last year in terms of sheer yards and TDs per game played jumps off the page. Just couldn't pass him up even though I have other positions that needed attention.

I picked DK Metcalf and then realized he was taken two picks before, so I changed it to Jaylen Waddle

I almost took DK with my last pick, but I felt Walker was the last of a tier at RB and there were still some quality WRs left

When it gets to Robb's pick, he informed me that he sent his picks to Mike.

Anytime you guys send a list, feel free to send it to Mike and to me...then whichever of us is available first can make the pick.

It's possible that Gibbs takes over in Detroit, but Montgomery feels like a steady producer who's going to vulture plenty of goal line carries.

Almost grabbed him with my last pick. It was between him and Williams for me.

Speaking from the "turn" position of the draft

So at this stage of the draft I can see an early RB run and reach was evident, sorta compelling me into WR-WR because the value was too much to pass on.

Then of course I am compelled to look long and hard at RB, and perhaps going RB-RB at the next turn would have been suitable, but when I sketched out the rest of the draft I then felt compelled to get Hurts; based on my production forecast I would likely fair better.

Now I am down here at the next turn, knowing I have to find some RB value, settling on the kid heading off to NE since I really think he is their day 1 starter, and a three-down player; the question I have is can he endure a workload like that?

Flowers was another value pick, he probably should have gone in the prior round, his QB loves him, he was targeted 25% of the time last year, but his efficiency was stellar, I assume he increases his targets this year.....and with his efficiency it could be a real win at this pick

Your team has been very well constructed so far from my vantage point. I like all the picks.

Fixored.

Pollard's an unexciting RB3, but should be another steady producer.

3 RBs, 3 WRs thru 6 rounds. This is generally your M.O., correct?

Unless a TE or QB falls way farther than they should, pretty much.

I question your strategy. After all, it's not like you've had any success in this league over the years.

I know. You'd think I'd change things up and go QB/TE/K/D over the first 4 rounds.:overhead:
