They said that before but it hasn't happened.  Minneapolis is still under attack.

Wow. You’re just like them now.  Doing anything to help? Making a jackass out of yourself every day here doesn’t.

What color were the grouchy panties you put on this morning?

Sometimes, after the stains are set, menstrual blood and fecal matter look pretty similar. Regardless of the source, they probably appear rusty.

Fdork's reality. All that goes perfectly with his verbal diarrhea.

Yeah, that's pretty twisted. I used to think Fnord was somewhat rational. My mistake.

It was a joke aimed at both Twatadour and Francie. I'd expect MO to be a dipshit about it, his sole reason for being here is to spread hate and lies; he's a complete fuckstick. You aren't. I guess I could've put a smiley after it, but I thought folks would be intelligent enough to get it. It's hardly groundbreaking for someone to make a distasteful joke here.

I thought it was pretty good.   Better than most

On Feb. 3, council members sent a slate of liquor licenses on to the next stage of approval. However, two of those licenses were pulled out of the group and scheduled for a later vote. Those two licenses belonged to Canopy by Hilton and The Depot.

At that council meeting, the Minneapolis city attorney said the city found that the hotels in question “comply with all applicable liquor licensing laws and ordinances and regulations, and therefore they are eligible to have the license renewed.”

Despite this, council members moved to delay the liquor licenses for both hotels.

That's messed up.

Crazy how the government will just fock up your life whenever they want.

And, yes, wokies.  Save the spittle.  I know the red team does it too, and no I don't like it when they do it either.

Since you wanted more ICE news @SaintsInDome2006

Collaboration agreements between ICE, local police soar 950 percent in Trump’s first year

A new analysis shows that enforcement agreements between Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and local and state law enforcement agencies have increased by more than 900 percent during President Trump’s first term.

The analysis, released Monday by criminal justice reform advocacy group FWD.us, found that there are 1,372 agreements between local law enforcement agencies and ICE, up from 135 in January 2025.

I’m not sticking around today, it’s a holiday here, but I’ll take a moment to point out that the State of Minnesota prison system was already cooperating before the ICE arrival, as was the MSP PD jail system, to hand over criminals. When ICE claims they’ve arrested x number of actual criminals remember that a good chunk of them were already apprehended by local PDs & sheriff’s offices across the state.

While I’m happy for the agreements you reference my guess is they’re completely unnecessary.

And I’ll state again the conservative position is that criminals should be punished & held accountable in the community where they committed crimes, not given a get out of jail feee card & a feee plane ticket to whatever lovely little country they came from.

Government overreach. Utter bullshit.

This kills me. Obama wanted to be a progressive POTUS, and he was so widely reviled by righties that we turn 180° to Trump, who gets impeached twice and gets voted out. Biden spends his time between naps and drooling trying to undo what Trump did, and in doing so, let's a few million illegals into the country, which gets his party voted out, so Trump can come in and do what he's doing.

At what point are these numbskulls gonna realize that every time they pull this crap, the backlash makes things even worse? The gerrymander wars being a good example...

It's not accurate to say that these systems were already cooperating:

 - the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) adopted a policy in 2021 not to honor detainer requests or notify federal authorities of release dates

 - A February 2025 advisory opinion from the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office concluded that local law enforcement cannot hold individuals solely on an immigration detainer if they are otherwise eligible for release, to avoid violating constitutional rights

This has clearly changed since the enforcement surge...which is a victory any way you want to slice it.  But do tell us, what is "MSP PD jail system"...the airport police?

I guess Amy Klobuchar is pretty popular in Minnesota. Now that she is running for governor, the election is expected to be strongly in her favor according to the Cook Political Report.

Never would have guessed. Thought the republicans had a real shot there. Eye roll.

I can’t imagine being normal, over 40, but born and raised in Minnesota. The absolute shame one hides beneath. “How, as a citizen did we let this happen?”  Complete disgust, like a failed parent.

Any shot they had was blown by a GOP president declaring war on the state.

He took out some trash.  That stupid ass state should be grateful. A couple of fools pissing their lives away to protect rapists and murderers doesn’t change that.

It's not accurate to say that these systems were already cooperating:

>>About 30 percent of the people ICE detained in Minnesota last year were turned over by local jails and prisons<<

>>Only 8 percent of those arrested on the street in the first two weeks of the federal enforcement surge that began in December had either a conviction or a pending charge for a violent crime.<<

>>About 50 county jails and local law enforcement agencies in the state transferred inmates to ICE custody last year.<<

NYT

>>The Department of Homeland Security has asserted that Mr. Walz and Mr. Frey are shielding 1,360 immigrants charged with crimes who are subject to deportation, though it did not explain how it came to that conclusion. But state and local officials dispute the claim.

The Minnesota Department of Corrections said the number of incarcerated people that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has identified as being subject to deportation was slightly over 300 as of last Monday.<<

NYT

- DHS claims that it has made 3,000 arrests, but weirdly enough despite Trump campaigning on telling the electorate that he wanted to remove the worst illegal alien criminals off the street his administration doesn’t tell the public how many of the arrestees meet that definition. Regardless yes a large portion of those persons arrested are just handed over by MN jails. And while the NYT points out it’s fewer than 39 other states it’s still more than 10 other states.
