If Gavin wins, don't say that people in CA haven't been warning you for years.

I picture him doing all the things that he wants, regardless of our constitution (he goes against the CA constitution ALL the time).

He would find it more difficult to violate the U.S. constitution.  The only reason he gets away with it in CA is that he owns the state Supreme Court, which would not be the case as President thanks to Trump.  Of course he'd probably try to pack the SC so it's important that we keep control of Congress should he win the Presidency

The irony of this post is off the charts.

How so?  That pointing out the hypocrisy of calling Trump a "dictator" when you've actively and knowingly been supporting one in CA?

I mean, seriously.  You leftists aren't against dictators, you're just against the ones from "the other guys".

Can`t remember but it was some politician from Cally.

Is Gavin Newsom the snake who had sex with his best friend's wife causing their marriage breakup and divorce??

14 detectives from the lapd’s metro division are being re-assigned to protect (drive around) Kamala Harris. That is so focked up. How about hiring some private security? It would be cheaper and those detectives could go back to catching bad guys.  Karen Bass is a joke.  And gruesome. Why are they always so ugly?

Gavin "secretly" signed a bill that will cause Southern California residents to pay more on their Edison utility bill; increases will go up at LEAST 13%. This bill shifts billions in wildfire costs to California tax payers and rate payers, basically a "secret" bailout.

Gavin did the same thing with Nor Cal and Pacific Gas and Electric after the Paradise fire, along with the others that burned thousands of acres in the Sierra's. Some PGE customers have bills that went from $100/month to over $500/month after they passed their expense onto rate payers.

Guess who Gavin's biggest donors are? Edison and PGE.

No Kings, right guys?

How did Newsom "secretly" sign a bill?

People will actually vote for this guy, too.  Crazy.

I guess for me I'm in California, so I'm already in the suck.  Get ready for higher taxes, not only undoing everything done with immigration, but keeping a wide open border, and waste at levels unseen even for our government.  It's going to be boondoggle town.

Dem voters are desperate for a good looking, straight, white male candidate finally!

I don`t agree with his policies, or that he banged his best friend's wife but Newsome does have that "All American" look that will make him a decent candidate.

They don`t want the Gay Petes, Kamala's, Sanders, Warrens of the party to run again and lose.

Gov. Newsom to Trump: "You are playing with fire, risking the destabilization of our democracy, while knowing that California can neutralize any gains you hope to make."

"If you will not stand down, I will be forced to lead an effort to redraw the maps in California to offset the rigging of maps in red states."

Imagine being as stupid as this liberal.

"Stand up for democracy by overturning the will of the voters so you can gerrymander your state's voting districts!!"

Tards.

The whole point of this special election was to leave the decision up to the voters of California.

It never should have come up for a vote. We decided we didn't want politicians deciding where to draw the district lines.

You bozos are so consumed with TDS, you decided to undo what had previously been decided. You are party over country personified.

Good job.

I think he'll be about as popular as Harris was in the last election.

The rest of the country hates CA politicians and for good reason.

I’m still not understanding you. You’re arguing that it was undemocratic to put the issue up for a vote a second time?

The voters decided one way; then they changed their minds and decided another way. How is this undemocratic?

The.nominee of the Democratic Party in 2028, whoever it is, will not win or lose based on popularity, or like or dislike from the country. That election will be a referendum on the 4 years preceding it, full stop. If the public feels the way about Trump they do now, the Democrats will win easily.

I'm saying it never should've been on the ballot again. Voters are supposed to pick their politicians. You fools made it so the politicians get to pick their voters. That isn't democracy.

OK? This still doesn’t make any sense.

Proposition 50 was voted on by all Californians. We could have rejected it, we did not. We voted for it overwhelmingly. People literally stood in line for hours to vote for it. Yet to you this is undemocratic.

Furthermore.lets contrast what California did to what Texas did. Texas, at Trump’s demand changed their electoral map through a one party vote by the legislature without asking the voters. If you’re going to call out things that are undemocratic, surely THIS should be your example, not California?

The process in California may have been Democratic. The results are the opposite of democracy and it further disenfranchises CA Republicans. At this point, I think we should stop paying taxes due to a lack of representation.

What Texas did was legal under Texas law. And don't delude yourself into thinking that Newsom wouldn't have done the exact same thing if he could have.

Also, prop 50 was hugely unpopular until the left started framing it as a way to "stick it to Trump." That's when the TDS afflicted started coming out of the woodwork to support it.

Given the results of the vote Tuesday night, this statement is incredible and Orwellian.

Explain to me how allowing politicians to choose who does and does not get to vote for or against them protects democracy.

This should be good.

The Republicans gerrymandered 5 new seats in Texas, a deliberate act AGAINST democracy. Newsom in California said “I want to counter this, but I will let the voters of California decide if they want me to.” We did. Overwhelmingly. That’s how democracy works.

The super majority of Democrats in Cali voted to gerrymander 5 more Democratic seats?  I'm shocked! Democracy at work!
