America was terrible from 2008-2016…then amazing from 2017-2020…then terrible from 2021-2024…then amazing again in 2025. Crazy how that works!

Well covid was kind of a clusterfuck. That definitely could have been handled better, though there's obviously plenty of blame to go around.

Let's see what things look like at the end of 2025. This will be much easier to answer if many of the things expected to occur actually play out. We've gotten awfully lucky with hurricanes this year, for example. It will only take one of medium-intensity hitting a red coastal state for folks to realize that gutting FEMA was probably not in our best interests.

US is the greatest country in the world, but I'd take that offer.  Japan, Thailand, Costa Rico, Croatia... I'd love to live in one of those places assuming I would be allowed to stay and I had a way to maintain a living.

So it's not tariffs or tax breaks for the rich anymore, it's cleaning up crime in the blue cities that's going to crash the economy.

Yo! I went on vacation to Tulum, Mexico, thinking I was going to experience a more natural environment, kind hearted people, good food, natural beauty, rest, relaxation…

I paid too dollar to stay at one of the nicest beachfront hotels only to get robbed by hotel staff. The best restaurants were expensive as hell, and at every turn people were trying to scam us or over-charge us. It was not paradise. We should’ve gone to Florida instead. My daughter and sister were so glad to be back in the USA! 🇺🇸

I am going to the Bahamas in less than 2 months, staying at the Cove (Aunt got us the gamblers special rate) I hear it's one of the most expensive places to vacation. Bringing the 12 year old too and planning to rent clubs and golf.

Ha.  My brother in law have discussed this.  generally speaking, any place you go in the world, there is something comparable in the good ol US.  You just need to know where to go.

Fwiw ultimately Covid affected conservatives/Republicans & red states disproportionately. Altogether an awful tragedy. But as a reminder a core principle of our country is that all men are created equal.
