THANK YOU MR. TRUMP

Americans soaking up the end of summer this holiday weekend will catch a break at the gas pump.

Labor Day gas prices are expected to average $3.15 per gallon this year— the cheapest since 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic, according to GasBuddy. That’s down modestly from $3.29 last Labor Day, Gas prices reached a Labor Day record high of $3.79 in 2022, the same year gas surged to $5 a gallon for the first time.

Drivers in some parts of the country will find sub-$3 gas. As of Thursday, the average price is below $3 per gallon in 15 states, including Georgia, Texas, North Carolina and Iowa, according to AAA, the automotive and trip-planning group.

It’s not widespread . Also, maybe people should take a break from beef? Otherwise why would they ever bring the price down?

Going to a cookout today. Same family member that has had it my whole life. They have made it pot luck for the 1st time ever because they can’t afford to buy everything like every other year.

Around me

beef : $13.69 for 2lbs.
eggs: $4.19 for 18 though I can get them cheaper it LiDL.
gas: $3.00-3.10 per gallon depending where I go.

same people asking what Trump has done are the same who were complaining that gas and egg prices were still up 7 months ago and were the same people using it as a trump dig 🤷🏻‍♂️

A statement followed by /username is generally what we do to indicate this is something that user would say or do.

Anyone complaining about the cost of gas in California can take it up with the liberals they keep electing there.

Gas tax and sales tax more than double what mine is. And that still doesn't get to even. There's just a cost for the privilege of living there too I guess 🤣

Yep.  They voted for Socialism/Marxism/Communism.  This is how it works.  Don't understand the complaints.  Did they really think that the rules didn't apply to them and they were going to keep theirs but everyone else had to pay?  Oh, yes, sorry.  That's how they think.

I did not post to complain.

MO’s title is that gas prices haven’t been this cheap since 2020. I don’t believe that is accurate

people are posted pricing for a few items in their area. I did as well.

I live in a desirable suburban NJ area and sort of expect my prices to be a tad higher than some of the bumblefock areas we have represented so I’ve been very happy with most prices.
if I was bier, I wouldn’t be so happy. I can’t imagine still paying more than 2x for 18 eggs. But he sounds like an outlier so far.
