Mike FF Today Posted September 16, 2025 Author Posted September 16, 2025 Nice rope from Justin Herbert to Quentin Johnston... TD! Quote
weepaws Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 Still those McConkey owners are looking for a td. Quote
nobody Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 Chargers seem extremely well coached. They are just so disciplined on defense. Meanwhile the raiders get a delay of game after a -1 yard run. Not a 30 yard pass where the whole team needs to get down the field. They just needed to get up and call a play. Quote
listen2me 23 Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 Head scratching pick with Jeanty. But Raiders gonna Raider. Loser franchises cant get out of their own way. Quote
jpcdds Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 Let’s spend a 6th rounder on Jeanty and then have a career subpar QB throw 43 times. When the game was well within reach. I will say as a keeper league manager who drafted Jeanty, I am not impressed. He hasn’t shown anything special and is a less than interested blocker. Almost lazy in that regard. Quote
listen2me 23 Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 Not saying he will bust. But why do loser franchises do this over and over? So draft a RB 6th. Have no QB of the future. Get Geno so you can grind out a draft pick that isnt in QB range. The guy had a lot of tocuhes in college. So the plan is to pound him into the dirt for seasons while you look for a QB and win 6 or 7 games a year? Then after you give him 1000 carries they then basically have to pay him top 3 RB money unless he gets some huge injury? What thought process is that? Oh add in grabbing a 97 year old coach that inevitably will retire in 2 seasons. But hey you grabbed that RB at 6 overall. It was exciting! Quote
LVSaint429 Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 Jeanty looked confused a few times like he was in over his head & panicking. Blew a couple pass blocks & went the wrong way on a handoff. The O-line wasn’t any help, but he’s gonna lose snaps if he doesn’t tighten it up fast Quote

nobody Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 A popular offensive concept against zone defenses is to occupy the zone on one side of the field and bring a crosser from the other side to take advantage of the vacated space. Defense can sometimes get caught slipping since they aren't expecting someone coming from that far. Downside is it takes awhile to get the crosser over there so you need to protect your qb. Miami ran this all the time in tyreek's first year with them (defenses caught on and Miami doesn't have a counter to their counters). The chargers did this in week 1 and week 2 on almost identical concepts and had McConkey all alone running free both times. Week 1 it would've been an easy 25 yard TD. The week 2 one, McConkey gets at least 40 yards and maybe scores from about 60. Both times, Herbert threw to the other side of the field for incompletions. Quote
