Quote

Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart has seen a handful of snaps the last two weeks and that number is set to go up by a lot in Week 4.

According to multiple reports, the 0-3 Giants will start Dart against the Chargers at home this Sunday. Head coach Brian Daboll said on Monday that the team was working through all personnel decisions when asked if Dart or Russell Wilson would start this week.

I only did that because it was you.  I actually thought the Bucs def was a good play! 😂

That’s a lie.  Thanks.

I never show people their stupidity, but since it was you, I did.  Now stop with the lies.

This is a totally irresponsible move on the part of the Giants.

I suspect the coach/gm are on the hotseat and trying to save their jobs.   But putting a rookie in behind that horrible line is a mistake

especially this early in the year.

a rookie behind a horrible O line is facing:

1) Chargers

2) Saints

3)Philly

4) Denver

5) Philly (again)

6) San Fran

the only decent matchup is the game vs the Saints.   the rest are pretty tough matchups.   personally if I were king of the world and wanting to get the kid in there I'd wait til that San Fran game was over before throwing him to the wolves like this.

I'd say there is a good chance they are gonna ruin Dart as a QB prospect before hes done his rookie year.   I do not agree with this move at all.

Get that rookie in the game , Fire Him up, why do down with the Wilson ship and die, with the kid on the bench, let’s see what he has.

I thought the Min def was better.  Were they?  You’re too easy! 😂

I get what you are saying, but in the modern NFL, where it's never been easier to play QB, a first round pick is expected to play.  Wilson is clearly a one-trick pony and it is difficult to imagine that he gives the team the best chance to win.  The Giants mistake was bringing in Wilson in the first place (and perhaps not addressing the O-line, but I believe their LT is coming back from injury so that may improve).

yeah, but given the nature of the Injury (Lis Franc) he will never be the same.

he may need to switch to guard due to the injury.    depends of course on the nature of the Lis Franc but there are literally dozons of tendons, ligaments and bones in the lis franc area and you cant operate on one without affecting the others.

in all likelyhood he wont be able to push off with power from that leg (at least not the way he used to) and certain moves to defend he will no longer be able to pull off

and unless the specifics of the injury are publicized (and they wont be) we have no clue how this will likely affect his play.

I wouldnt count much on him.   There is at least a 50% chance his career is ruined.     The Lis Franc is a horrible injury.  worse than a torn ACL.   The recovery rate isnt all that good if they have to operate on it.

Question is .. what do you do with Malic Neighbors... is he still a must start this week?  I am worried about him in my suicide ffball league

never bench your studs

Nabers put up decent numbers even with this crappy O line.    Dart is in, and most QB who want to keep their job will keep feeding the #1 WR.     in this scenario its usually the #2 and #3 WR who experience a serious dropoff in production.

Dont get me wrong this will affect Nabers too, but the difference wont be quite as large as the difference with the others

Darts int will be att to Nabers he’s going to try to force the ball to his best option, in a non ppr, abd if you have a solid option, it might be a good move benching him, Charges do seem to have a very good def.

I'm curious to see what this does for Skattebo's value this week. I am considering starting him over J. Warren, but the tough D and switch to a rookie QB has me a little hesitant.

Looks like Warren is now carrying a questionable tag

All I know is if Skattebo has a good game in Dart’s first start vs this DEF, we may have the late round gem of the year.  Not expecting a great game though.

Exactly, Russ seemed to either launch the deep ball, or check down to RBs and really elevated Skatt’s value in PPR… I’m curious to see if Dart checks down as much, or takes off running more often. I anticipate them playing from behind a lot, so I’m really banking on 4-6 receptions per game although now it is uncertain.

The talking heads on NFL network liked Robinson to bounce back

quoting chargers rank low vs slot WRs and easy dump offs for a rookie and lots of passing playing from behind

in garbage time.... yes, the slot WR will be the play the chargers will give away.   and that may even be the case the whole game.   but the coach is tricky.  he will let the QB see that the play with the WR is there for a couple of plays and then take it away at a time when least expected with a possible INT.

the big unknown is how observant Dart will be.    what we dont know is how NFL ready he actually is.  only the coaches know this.

I'm honestly more concerned about the line play.    everything really depends on it.   if they dont give Dart time, the deep ball may not be there.    You do need to hold the ball a little longer when throwing a deep pass or a deep cross.

I'd expect to see more short passing if the line cannot hold up.   and you are right.  that hurts Nabers.   He can run those shorter routes.  Hes fully capable.... but its the big plays that really make him a fantasy stud.

Congrats Gmen, big win.

Dart looked pretty good, makes good decisions for a rook. His legs are a weapon. Unfortunately, without Nabers it will be a long season...

very long.

butt I'll give credit where credit is due.  there are not a lot of QB capable of winning a football game with only 111 yards passing but Dart Did it.   I'd say the value of his WR isnt gonna be worth much in fantasy but Dart will put up the rush yards you want to see.

0-3 beating 3-0, I didn't see this one, thought Gmen would be playing from behind, not the Chargers.  Any Given Sunday, as they say
