You spread three falsehoods in the first three threads I looked of yours, provided no links to back them up and then when I point out the political hypocrisy you tap out with a weak someone needs a time out. Psst…It might be the guy in your mirror. Go lay by your dish before I find more. If you wrote a Super Bowl “recap” I’m guessing it would end with Iowa State as the winners. Quote

First of all it didn’t work and I never said you were triggered and I’ve said I wasn’t triggered. I watched Bad Bunny. It was very very average. Just don’t lie about it. You know what it was. I just don’t get why you guys need to lie about it, but do your thing. Also, I know when I replied the girls from the view from this board..You, Tim, Dogcrap and Cows come running Quote

Yeah, that’s the thing I thought the performance was good. I just didn’t understand any of it. When Andrea Bocelli sang in Italian at the opening ceremonies, I enjoyed the performance. I just didn’t understand any of it. So my argument isn’t this fake outrage that was the worst thing ever to happen. I just don’t quite understand the defense that it wasn’t political. That’s all. But we can also agree to disagree. Quote

Most payroll companies allow for direct import, as well as many of the major financial institutions for 1099s. I guess if you don't have much in the way of income and don't itemize, it could be that quick, it is when I do my kids. Still though odd choice to do this during halftime of the super bowl. So you're saying it can be done in 20 minutes then? Quote

If that was your issue, then why did you put "it only took you 20 minutes"? I mean, I've stated many times that music just doesn't entertain me. Why sit through 20 minutes of either show, when it was all music. I sat in the kitchen, snacking, and doing my taxes. Was doing my taxes "enjoyable"? No, but neither would watching live music videos that I'm not interested in. Quote

I've been pretty clear. One W2, standard deduction, that's kid stuff, yes you can do this in 20 mins. Funny you choose the super bowl halftime but can be done. For me, it takes me several hours. Multiple W2s, multiple 1099s, stock sales, 529s, charitable deductions, medical deductions, property tax, interest deductions, AMT, Foreign income, stock sales, stock cost, carryover, etc. Quote

nobody Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I've had foreign investments from stocks, but not like buying businesses in other countries where I'd have to claim foreign income, but I'm also constrained on what foreign investments I can even make. I'm also curious about your carry over losses. How much did you lose that carrying over loss even makes a difference and when? Quote
TBayXXXVII Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Speaking of losses and stocks, investments, and what not. My cousin was telling me that the price of gold is like $5k per ounce. His friend just sold some and got $3500. Anyone else selling off gold? I'm trying to guage if it's worth it. My bother and mom really liked jewelry and for some ungodly reason thought I'd want some. They bought me a ring (when I was real young), gold band with a black onyx gem and 2 gold chains. Had them for over 25 years. Thinking now may be a good time to sell since I never really wear them. I remember it being $400…. I didn’t have any money for it back then, but this feels a bit inflated to me. Then again, if the economy tanks, it could go even higher. Whats really wild? Platinum (used in alloys) is being used by jewelers instead of silver due to its price surge. I did not see that one coming. I never thought silver’s price would recover after digital cameras killed the film market. Quote
