This is as weak as they've ever been, which is why it's been relatively easy to take them out and why the casualty count is small. We knew it would be easy because beating Saddam's army was easy. Both militaries are/were worth ass and easily defeated. It also helped that their air defense had been shredded last year. This was a regime that deserved to go, the time was ripe, and now they are gone. Going forward, the world is a better, safer place without the mullahs running Iran. I don't know what happens there the day after. I hope somebody decent arises out of the ashes, It might not be somebody decent or or it could be that nobody emrges and it just turn into a failed state. That's all it is is hope. The US mustn't try to guide them to some outcome as its not worth the time and effort and expense and danger. We learned that next door to both the east and west.
