Kamara or Etienne--which one would you trade for

I have a chance in my ppr league to trade for either Kamara or Etienne....which one would you prefer ? My running back on my team are chase brown and javonte Williams. Kamara has the easier schedule and Etienne started off hit but has cooled down. Any advice is appreciated.

I don't love either ROS but I'd probably take Kamara despite horrific QBs. He'll be reliant on receptions

I sadly have both (my RB2 and 3) on a team and Kamara has been abysmal. Experts are quick to note his sub 3ypc but if you've watched any games, that line is worthless. Tough to gain 3 when you're getting hit in the backfield. His real threat is in the passing game - just have him run 10 routes a game and give him 5-6 catches and watch his value go up.

And yes Etienne has cooled but is still dangerous, but who knows which Trevor L you're getting.

Between them I'd lean Kamara because of schedule and a better defense = hopefully competitive games.

Kamara intrigues me with NO turning to Shough at QB.... In leagues where i drafted Kamara this year, I did so expecting a little more running volume but also a LOT more passing volume.

As bad as New Orleans has been, and as bad as the run game has been, what has surprised me has been the lack of targets for Kamara, coming off 68 receptions on 89 targets in 14 games last year, Kamara is currently on pace for just 66 targets if he plays 17 games this season. He has gone from over 6 targets per game to under 4. That is huge. 

He's also averaging almost 4 less carries a game... so in total roughly 6.5 less touches per game. But it's the passing targets that have been the big let down for PPR formats.

this is especially valid in PPR rules.    Standard league its a far harder decision to make

I don’t think ppr gives Kamara any edge, right now ET is avg 3 more points per game in Ppr.

Mmm, it’s a tough situation, I see the Patriots just sign D Johnson rb, I don’t think the Patriots have the rb they really would li,e to have currently on their team,  so just to be clear, it’s ET and Henderson for a 4th rd pick? If so, yes take it.

agreed.  only way this deal works for you is if you have a serious need at RB and a passable RB puts you in a position to win your league.

 

Flowers will be productive for years to come.  Kamara.... this may actually be his last or second last year as a productive RB.  Dude is 30.

This won’t be Kamara last productive season, he’s been below par, I think he’s done.

He's definitely done. But if you have a crack at Trevion Henderson, in a keeper league, at that price. You do it 8 days a week

in yardage leagues or standard leagues.... yes for sure.

but the sheer volume of pass catching keeeps him as a RB2 in PPR leagues.

but the bottom line... if trading Flowers for Kamara, you really REALLY need to be desperate for a RB.  I am not actually endorsing this as you can probably get a better RB if trading away Flowers.
