Giants seem to have the Qb already, a great Wr once healthy, and they should have a top 3 pick next year along with a bunch of other picks. The owner let Daboll coach for nearly 4 years despite a horrid 20-40 record.  They aren't in cap hell (min dead money) and can easily increase space with a few restructures and cuts.

Overall, seems like a decent gig for some up-and-coming coach.  Unlike say ... the Dolphins.  God we suck.

2-8 three straight seasons, didn’t make this a tough decision

Teams needing a new coach, should target Brian Hartline.  He seems to have a complete grasp on how to run an offense.  I don't think it's a coincidence that almost every offensive player that's been through Ohio State the last 8+ seasons is making an impact in the NFL.  There have definitely been some prior to 2017, like Michael Thomas, Zeke, and Curtis Samuel... but since 2017, McLaurin & Campbell improved dramatically with Hartline, then you have a plethora of guys like Stroud, Fields, Dobbins, Henderson, Judkins, G. Wilson, Olave, JSN, Harrison, & Egbuka.  He now has Jerramiah Smith, Carnell Tate, and Julian Sayin.  I'm calling it now...  Julian Sayin will be pick 1.01 in the 2027 draft.  The dude is going to be the next star pocket passer.

One of the talking heads said that Daniel Jones's recent success played a small part in the final decision to terminate.

I think that could be.

That and actively trying to get his QB killed.

Reason why they keep starting out 2-8.

Oooooo!  USA Today has an interesting Contributor article, suggesting Bill Belichick!

If there was a reason that Belichick’s buyout with his North Carolina contract was just $1 million – which screams of a keep-my-options-open exit door – this is it.

Belichick didn’t wait to get rejected again by NFL teams during the last hiring cycle before bolting to the college ranks. Back then, though, the NYG job wasn’t open. Now it is.

They're not going to have the QB of the future if that dope keeps running like he is a linebacker.

I hope not.  BB was a decent coach, but he has become a clown show and a has been.  I don't think he offers anything over any of the other top coaching candidates.  The Giants would be foolish to go in that directions (then, again, this is the organization that thought signing Russ would be a good idea).

I could see that.

His get-out-jail-free card would've been that he never had a QB, but when the QB you had appears competent in another uniform, that becomes a hard sell.

Then he's letting their potential star QB ram his head into LBs which seems sub-optimal.

Preach.  BB is done.

A .. media outfit in NY likes CLE HC K. Stafanski - assuming he's let go on Black Monday:

SNY’s Connor Hughes believes Browns HC Kevin Stefanski is “a name to watch” for the Giants head coaching vacancy.

Stefanski certainly couldn’t be blamed for wanting to exit Cleveland after another season spent coordinating a dead-on-arrival offense hamstrung by Deshaun Watson’s contract. Especially after he didn’t appear to be on Andrew Berry’s page about giving up Joe Flacco to the Bengals in a midseason trade. As we hit silly season, Stefanski’s status will be one of the more important dominoes to watch. Hughes also mentions as names to watch for the job: Packers DC Jeff Hafley, Rams OC Mike LaFleur, Eagles OC Kevin Patullo (??), Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo, Vikings DC Brian Flores, Former Raiders HC Antonio Pierce, and Texans DC Matt Burke.

Hmmmm - I like Stefanski, and Burke.

He plays like his hair is on fire, no structure at all. That won't work long in this league. He'll be holding a clipboard in 2 years.
