Guillotine league - survival mode.

ok.. so my team decided to fold this week...  waddle, gadsen, warren did nothing... 

for the night game i can choose between Gibbs and Barkley.. which way do i roll? who has the higher ceiling

I need 20pts+ to even have a prayer in .5ppr. 

I am leaning Barkley -- since he doesnt share carries and the Det D is beatable... vs Gibbs sharing + better eagles D

Didn't realize we had any Guillotine players in here.  My 3rd year playing - not so hot my first couple years (Wk 7 best - ugh).  But this time... I'm still alive!   Got lucky in the draft - ended up with players I wasn't thrilled about, but they've done well - JSN 2nd round was gold, and some lucky picks - Pittman & Olave.  

Down to $375 in FAB, which is 3rd highest of the 7 remaining. Sounds good, except I didn't spend wisely during the year. Only "end game" player I picked up was Kittle.  Wasted the other on middling Wrs and Rbs to cover bye-weeks.  If I did it over again, I would've been way more stingy with the FAB. 

Got some serious decisions to make with this week.... Breece Hall is gonna get me chopped eventually. Need to replace with an "end game" Rb, but not sure how much to spend.  I heard spending/cost goes way down in these later weeks, but .... I've never been here before so I'm interested so I'm see it happen.

4 teams left in my guillotine league.....I'll have high score this week...leaving 3 for next week. My team is ridiculous at this point & I have 3 times the FAB than the 2 other teams that will survive.

I survived!.. somehow. I ended up rolling with Gibbs and that saved my @ss. Won by 3 pts because Bowers and Jeanty got the other player combined 14points.

We are down to 3 teams now. I had tough matchups week 11 but this week should be easier. This is my first year and I love it! no matter how unlucky you get with injuries or even draft, you can rebuild your team every week, unlike a regular fantasy league. I've been playing ffball for 25y+ so being a football fan helps make the right decisions as to FAs .. and fa budgets. I budgeted well and now have a pretty solid team

I did one twice... the first year, knocked out in the first week (the guy who won had all but 2 of my Week 1 starters).  The second year, I won.  Both years we had 18 people.  Those were some interesting drafts.

In the second year, my strategy was, I'm not bidding on anyone who wasn't a stud.  I had like 85% of my FAAB with 6 weeks to go.  I was buying studs for $50.  LOL

Nobody cares, I know - wife don't care, friends don't care... but c'mon humor me. I bid $120 on Josh Jacobs and $80 on Jamar Chase... and amazingly got 'em! Obviously because neither are playing this week.  

IF I survive this week... I'll be loaded the rest of the way!!! Oh happy day.  Pray for Gobble.

Lowest score each week is cut.....their roster goes back in the pool to bid on. Have to be smart with your FAB......There are only 3 teams left & we are all stacked.

14 man... still impressive.  Here's what I got in my 18-man. 

Goff - picked up for dirt cheap early.

Jeanty - 1st rd draft pick... shocking I'm still alive

Hall - 3rd rd draft pick ... ugh. Thought the receptions would make him valuable in this format, but he barely even gets those. 

JSN - 2nd rd pick and struck gold. Single-handedly carried my team.

Olave - 5th rd pick. Worked out way better than expected. 

Kittle - $210 bid a few weeks back. First major pick up. 

Pittman - 6th rd pick. Again worked out better than expected.

Pickens/Deebo/Shakir - All fairly cheap pick-ups over the year and all have paid off.

Now you can see why I'm ecstatic to pick up Jacobs and Chase. Don't have nearly enough "end gamers."

Jefferson is on waivers... all teams are really good. 

 

My biggest quest this week is choosing a flex between Taylor vs KC   or.. Diggs or Breece Hall.   I am leaning Taylor.. but KC D scares me.

Trying to decide between Adams and Pickens

Still alive, but started with 18... down to 6. Ain't no Championship til Week 17.  My team improved a lot over the past couple weeks. Down to only $45 in Fab, but better to spend it than get cut.  Added Josh Allen today for my last big free agent purchase... $130. Surprised I got him.  

Adams vs Pickens... I'd go Adams...  rankings agree - Adams (6), Pickens (8).
