Semi- tanking question

I’ve locked up the second bye week. The pairings would be the third place versus the sixth place winner plays me in week 16. Third place person is locked no matter what. The person I would be tanking to this week will also not move. The only thing it does is give me a little bit easier Playoff run in the semifinals.

So if I win the loser, I played this week won’t move anyway. But I could potentially win the one seed which is actually a more difficult matchup.
 

is this superbad form or kind of strategic?

I did this probably a decade-plus ago.  It bit me in the a$$, and I lost the projected "easier" matchup.  FWIW.

Play it straight up and play to max your score every week - to play any other way is kind of a doosh move

Just play it as you normally would..  Never know if karma or what will kick in otherwise, lol

I don't believe in "tanking", it's not fair to the other players and cheapens the league. 

We'd vote to kick them out of the league.
