theoretical $75 entry fee and $10 for a weekly high score...  Total pot would be 900 minus 140 for weekly prizes. Leaves 760. $75 could be awarded for regular season or total points after week 17 (to give everyone a little incentive to keep submitting lineups) and still leave us with $685 for 1st/2nd/3rd or an additional $85 divided amongst the winners.  3rd needs to be money back at least so $75 leaves $610 to 1st and 2nd.... and extra $30 to each makes the split  $460 / $210  

I still don't care for paying weekly high score but I don't hate this theoretical breakdown.

AD = $20
Biff/Bier/WW/Jerry/Glad/Megla/Shore = $10

Just to add,  if you are someone who didn't make the playoffs... in this case Bier, Glad, Megla, Shore... do you really care to get $10 back from your $75 entry fee?  Everyone else is in the playoffs playing for the podium prizes. and Cloaca won the season long points.  

I am all for upping the ante but an extra $25 per person winds up being $300 with $215 going to these high score payouts.    But everyone knows where I stand   so I look forward to hopefully hearing from others prior to next year

i like having it available for the taking through the regular season

 

season 1 i had high score 8/16 weeks, so yeah. i think that would have been worthwhile, especially with ed's freak championship game

yeah, of course in a situation like that, the guy with a lot of points scored who doesn't take home the title is going to prefer getting paid more

but 2023 and 2024, when you were updating high scores each week, wound up seeing 3 and 2 be the max weeks anyone was high score..  

I know where you stand and I appreciate it. I am all for doing what the people want. 

As for points scored, I would personally rather see it only be a lump sum given to the regular season points champ after 14 weeks.  In 2024, for example, Herbie was the top point scorer and did not make the playoffs. He was only the weekly top point scorer 2 times, which indicates he was likely one of the top scorers each week just not necessarily #1. In 2023 Twinsdad was the top point scorer and only had 1 week as the high score, again, indicating the same. Should we be paying out the random 160 weeks or more so awarding the steady guy putting up 145 more often than not?
