Flipper Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Amazingly blew the cover off the over. Surprised that Darnold played as well as he did. Seahawks looking like a winner ... and the Vikings likely wishing they had invested more in the OL and maybe the running game. Quote
weepaws Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Darnold I apologize, darn dude, you’re going to be one of the starting QBs in a Super Bowl, way to rebound. And Congrats Hawks fans. Quote
GobbleDog Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Much closer game than I expected as I predicted the Hawks would win a blowout. Rams o-line did a great job protecting Stafford. But Hawks offense ain't too shabby either. Great story for old Darnold. Dude's career has been to hell and back. So lucky to even get a chance to do it ... if Viking's McCarthy doesn't injure his knee in the '24 preseason game, Darnold would've been a forgotten back-up that year and probably this year too. Lord only knows who Seattle's Qb would be and highly unlikely they'd be headed to the Superbowl now. Of course, Vikings fans have rightly been second-guessing all year if the organization should've let Darnold go. Now they see him leading a team to the Superbowl, while they're still trying to figure out if McCarthy is worth a damn. Ouch. Quote
nobody Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Seattle to win in the super bowl. I'd guess Seattle opened at what? Maybe 3 point favs? Quote
GobbleDog Posted January 26 Posted January 26 I was guessing Seattle -4, so yeah ... -5 sounds about right. Quote
weepaws Posted January 26 Posted January 26 I was thinking 3.5, at this time I kinda like the 5 and the Patriots. Quote
JagFan Posted January 26 Posted January 26 At a quick glance it looks like the Pats only faced two eventual playoff teams in the regular season, Pittsburgh and Buffalo (2). They went 1-2. In the playoffs they got the two worst teams in LAC and Houston, and then almost lost to a backup QB yesterday which was easy to see coming from a mile away. As long as that line stays in single digits Seattle is almost free money IMO. And still a pretty good bet even at -14. Quote
Bills04 Posted January 26 Posted January 26 I turned the game off, after the muffed punt. Surprisingly LAR kept it close. Quote
