Fumbleweed Posted February 3 Posted February 3 What would really be nice is if no one was allowed to post anything about Trump, good or bad, for a week. But, since that's not happening, and since everyone's favorite peanut butter has been explored in the past at Mike's suggestion, I thought it might be interesting to see what soft drinks people prefer. I am diabetic, so I stopped drinking sugar sodas a long time ago. Now, if I do happen to taste one, they taste way too sweet. Not a big fan of diet drinks, but I do love the Zero drinks with Dr. Pepper Zero being my favorite followed by anything with Cherry in it (Pepsi or Coke Zero) and then anything with Vanilla in it. Root Beer Zeroes are good tasting, too, but don't have caffeine, so that defeats the purpose of drinking soda on one level. What soft drinks do you like best? Quote
Strike Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I've cut down on soda but when I do have one my favorite is cherry Dr. Pepper. Quote
BiffTannen Posted February 3 Posted February 3 My staples throughout the day include Bai Coconut water, Coke Zero, and Gatorade Zero. Quote

Ron_Artest Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I don't drink soda, only soda water. I prefer just plain seltzer but do like some flavored ones especially during the summer. Was at a rest stop recently and wanted to grab a seltzer but the little soda button under the sprite wasn't working, so I went with a Dr Pepper which was always my favorite as a young adult, couldn't drink it, way too sweet. Mike Honcho Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I had my first soda of the year on Saturday and it's my favorite - Orange Crush. Quote

supermike80 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Older now so sugary pop isnt on my list. If I have one, the one that tastes less diet to me is diet Dr Pepper. Quote
Hawkeye21 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Mt. Dew but I barely drink any of it. Might have 5 in an entire year. The only time I really drink any pop is when I have a mixed drink. Quote
Mike Hunt Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I have not bought any type of soda for years. Every Christmas my uncle always brings over a case of Coke in the small "glass" bottles. I will have a few of those until they are gone and it tastes so dam good if you don`t drink it much. For some reason it tastes so much better in the glass bottles than plastic or cans. Quote

frank Posted February 3 Posted February 3 In college, I drank a 2 liter of coke every day until I switched to Mountain Dew because it was cheaper. Many years ago, I cut out caffiene entirely and switched to Sprite. Now I only drink Sprite Zero and that is almost always as a mixer. Quote
MikeMatt Posted February 3 Posted February 3 So are we calling it soda (correctly) or pop (dumb). Well which is it ? Quote

MikeMatt Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I don’t drink soda but my downfall is ginger ale. I’ll have one probably once a month. Funny timing I had my first A&W Zero Root Beer last night. Liked it. Just not really a soda drinker. Quote

Yeah, I have a lot of diet Mountain Dew for sure. But I think that’s probably helped because I rarely drink alcohol, I don’t even know how to smoke, and I don’t do drugs. Well, I didn’t until I was like 50 now if I find a gummy or two laying around? And a good ball game on? What the hell? Interesting responses though. Quote

WhiteWonder Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Ginger ale. Reed's if I can find it, or of the bigger name brands Seagrams and Canada Dry.... I don't love Coke as much as I used to (or as much as edjr) but there were times in my life where I freely admitted that on a hot day I would prefer an ice cold coke to a beer. can't do diet. tastes terrible, I don't need to cut out sugar any more than anyone should simply watch their sugar intake, and i will take sugar all day everyday over artificial sweeteners. I would drink that shitt and my moms Fresca When I lived in Massachusetts as a kid, the only place I knew that served Fresca was a seafood place in Boston that was known as the No-Name Restaurant or something like that. I ordered it every time we went there. I still like it, but not as much as other no-sugar drinks. Quote

avoiding injuries Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Coke Zero, but if it’s not below a certain temperature I can’t drink it. It has to be COLD. Quote
