... and I didn't vote for him at the time, nor would I against Donald Trump or JD Vance. I'd voted for Ross twice in my first two presidential elections and I love Trump's hostile takeover of the GOP from the Bushtard/ Cheney/ McConnell/ Romney/ Ryan faction.

I will say that at no time back then did I care about his philandering ways. That's Hillary's problem.  I can't fast forward and say the same about now; Epstein island is worse than Flowers, Broderick, Lewinsky and the rest because it involves underage girls.

He was an effective president and he did the job better than any other Democrat of our lifetime could have done it. This man together with Newt Gingrich and Bob Dole balanced the budget, until George the Dumber and D*ck "Deficits Don't Matter" Cheney came along. I respect him for doing a good job overall, although some of the things he wanted to do didn't work out. And of course not, the Democrats of the 90s were the worser of the two options.

With the Epstein Island thing, of course the GOP is trashing him. That part hasn't changed. They're the opposition party and he's neck deep in the Epstein Island scandal. That's what the opposition party does. But the Dems... and this is why I say we could use him... the Dems of the 2020s are batsh^t insane and utter trash. They have gone so far left that they are an existential threat to the country and the thought that they might return to power any time soon is terrifying. Bill Clinton was not a freak nor an idiot nor incompetent. It'd be nice to have an opposition party worth a damn.

I was taught to hate bill Clinton by Rush Limbaugh but not for the reasons I should have hated him.  His philandering and now Epstein links are the reasons to hate him.  As president he did a good job.  The last budget surplus we ever had.

I think that's pretty fair.

The Epstein files should have taught everyone that the major parties and wealthy elite in this country are in league with each other. Whether it’s Clinton or Trump, all they care about is enriching themselves at the taxpayer’s expense and protecting their kind. There are good politicians out there on both sides of the aisle, but none of them would ever be allowed to even sniff the WH. Any nostalgia anyone has for Clinton or Reagan etc. is about a pre-Internet era when half the country didn’t necessarily hate the other half.

He was shitt. Start with NAFTA. Then there’s Glass Steagall. Other things too but that’s enough for now.

So now you're against financial deregulation and corporate profits?

Jesus is there any reason you support trump other than racism?

So you’re against the working class ? Nafta was terrible for the working/middle class . Both parties are to blame but Clinton was at the helm

This is a nutshell underlies the answer to all the questioning & shaming of maga about Trump, the madness, the damaging economic policies, the defense of authoritarianism. They believe this, so anything & everything is justifiable.

Republicans were the architects of that bill.  Go read some history.

I support the working class, obviously, I am working class.  I see the pros and cons of nafta.  I think it was poorly executed.

Trump repealed NAFTA and we're still losing manufacturing jobs.  He doesn't care

Gutterboy is funny. Clinton signs a bill but he’s not responsible for it.  But if the bus is late that’s Trumps fault. 💯🤡

Never said he's not responsible, but let's be serious for a minute.  NAFTA was not a Clinton or Democrat policy, it was republican policy that was architected years before you knew who Clinton was, and when he was President he decided to support it and signed it.  You should educate yourself.

Yeah I didn’t know that Bush tried. Only smart guys like you did.  💯🤡

Why is it though.  I don't know if @Voltaire will come back and explain himself, or if any other Maga will.  Honestly curious as to how Democrats are an existential threat to America.

The Democratic Party is "an existential threat to the country"?

You can't make this stuff up. 😂

Clinton was an ok POTUS; I was in my early 20s when he left office, and I admittedly paid far less attention back then than I do now. In hindsight, he was in the right place at the right time. He benefitted immensely from the end of the cold war,  renewed American dominance created by the victory of liberal democracy over authoritarian communism, and the dotcom prosperity that exploded during his tenure; he had nothing to do with either of those factors but he certainly reaped the benefits. That balanced budget sure does seem like ancient history.

I'd vote for him in a heartbeat today, though I didn't vote for him back then. Of course today I'd also happily vote for Romney, McCain, Obama, or Kerry. Hell, Hillary would be better.

Godspeed in your quest to demonize and belittle literally everyone that disagrees with you!

Plenty to praise Clinton for as a President - balanced budget, job expansion, wage growth, low unemployment...  even seemed competent on foreign policies - knew Putin was bad mojo from day one.

But the messing around with interns in the Oval Office showed extremely poor character. And the fact that he was willing to commit a felony lying to congress about it (which got him disbarred) again showed his low character and make him ripe for blackmail. All that was unforgivable. He should've been removed from office and charged with a felony.

The Epstein stuff.... whatever. I refuse to throw EVERYONE under the bus who merely took a picture with him or ever met him. That goes for Trump too. I need real evidence of illegal activity - not circumstantial.

At this point both parties are an existential threat to America. Trump is too kneejerk about everything and the Dem lost their way years ago.

Agreed. Both parties need to be torn down to the studs and fully renovated. They're a blight on our nation.

What makes you say that the Democrat party today is an existential threat to America?

Now I don't care if voters in New York, Seattle, Minneapolis, Chicago, Los Angeles, or Portland inflict radical leftists on themselves. That's their community and their prerogative. What happens there is on them. Fock them. Further, I think the country is well served to point to what happens in places the far-left Democrats control serve as an example of who the modern Democrats are. Speaking for myself. I don't have to go there. I have a career that lets me live where I want and I deliberately chose to avoid blue sh!tholes.

It just so happens that you are from New Jersey, which in the last 24 hours provides a perfect example of what it is that I am talking about. Last night, New Jersey had a primary election to fill a vacant US congressional seat. Granted the election hasn't been called yet, but I maintain that the candidate in the lead, Mejia, is exactly what is wrong with the 2026 Democratic Party. For shorthand, she's an activist of the Bernie Sanders/ AOC / Squad faction and  all that entails and a Democrat that doesn't have your limitations could parse that out. Abolish ICE, stack the courts, DEI racism, communism, blame America, men in womens sports etc...

Now it use to be, in the time of Bill Clinton, that the Democratic Party would be able to successfully keep radical, lunatic braindead zombies like Mejia screaming in the attic. Bernie Sanders had no pull beyond Vermont. Since these radicals had nowhere else to go, 1990s Democrats use to be able to take their retarded-ass votes, say "thank you," and then tell them to 'fock off' and ignore them until the next election. That's not the case anymore. The lunatics are winning in deep blue sh*tholes. which again, is fine locally since I despise voters in deep blue shItholes and want them to suffer the consequences of their own stupidity.

But the turds percolating up to Washington is a problem. Mejia, again is as yet still only leading, but I don't like it when you people send loony tunes far left freaks to the national level to pass legislation that will affect all of us. That's why we could use a man like Bill Clinton again.

That'd take some time and effort to write which is why I'd rather have a conversation like that with someone who can comprehend words and is smarter than JarJar Binks, thanks.
