Nobody has been able to intelligently articulate how voter ID is bad.

The most used excuse I've seen is that people are too stupid to get an ID so it's unlawful.

I think the poll tax argument has some validity though.  I'm not against providing a free voting ID to those who don't have one or, for some reason, can't afford one.

Because if women get married and take their husbands name they can’t vote. Supposedly.  Getting an ID is a complicated process. That’s why the blacks can’t figure it out.

You hit the nail on the head. Democrats have convinced their base that they’re too stupid to figure out how to get an ID. Even though they have years to do so.
So if they just say voter suppression somehow enough, they think it absolve them of treating their voters like complete morons who can’t function as regular adults that can do these things

Yep, just ask Peenie.  Her life has been so hard due to not having an I.D.

Yep.  Even a sitting SCOTUS justice has said black people are disabled

By getting a real ID, just like everyone else.

clarification, read ID won't work.  You need a birth certificate and ID with matching names, or other documentation if names don't match.

I thought you needed that for a real ID as well?

Ironically they made it more difficult to get a Real ID in a lot of rural areas just in the past month.

How so?  I'm not familiar with it.

You do, which is why it's stupid that you would need more forms to register to vote.  The current method of registration, a real ID is fine.

Oh sorry....passports at rural areas...My mistake.

As to Real ID though I will say- it is only certain facilities that do Real ID services and is not all of them. In my scenario the closest Real ID place is 45 minutes away. You used to be able to submit documentation at any place and then just get the main ID at the big facility but I'm pretty sure they closed that ability now and everything has to go to the main place.

In effect, the SAVE Act introduces a documentation requirement for a law that has existed for decades: the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 explicitly prohibits noncitizens from voting in federal elections.

To do so, the SAVE Act amends the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 by introducing a requirement for individuals to provide proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections.

How are passports more difficult to get in rural areas?

I literally drove to the post office in the rural area near me and it took 10 minutes; I had all of my paperwork, picture, and payment ready to go.

I drove to the rural area because the post offices in the city near me never has appointments available. It can take months to get in there.

So in a lot of rural areas they were doing passport services at local libraries...these libraries operated as non-profits and have offered passport services. However, In November, 501(c)(3) nonprofit libraries were notified by the State Department that the libraries’ status rendered them ineligible to operate as passport acceptance facilities under federal law, despite Americans using these locations for many years.

Municipal libraries can still do it but depending on the rural area that is a bit of a drive to get to one of those places. It's more inconvenient.

Ok, that makes sense.

I can see how a library might be violating a federal law, since it's a federal process to get a passport.

They do need to make them cheaper and easier to get, for sure.

So you're saying that once every 10 years, someone has to drive an extra half hour to get their passport renewed?

I know you're a lot of bad things, including dumb and ignorant, but I didn't figure you for a racist.

What you idiots fail to realize is that the reason for this law is all based on a lie that Donpedo told that the 2020 election was stolen, and he can't get over the fact that he lost, so he and everyone around him are doing things to appease his ego, including this dumb law.  The problem it's trying to solve is virtually non existent but it's creating a slew of other problems that will lead to voter suppresion.

Hold on big fella.   This has been what the democrats have been saying.  In fact it is almost all they have been saying.  He's not the racist, the democrat party is.

Blacks played a big role in getting Trump elected in 2024. Don't project Turdcore's racism onto democrats.

OK then tell me why we need this law.

How is this law not common sense?  Voting is one of our most important rights as a citizen.  Shouldn't we want it to be accurate and the results to actually represent real citizens?

Yes of course, that is why we ask for ID when you register to vote and we have a law that says you have to be a real citizen to vote and you attest to that when you register.

Do you not know that?
