I’d be fine with trading AJB for a late first. He’s a distraction and dogged it at times last year. I’d rather use the cap savings to resign some of the young studs on D, even if it meant having to replace him on O.

no.

For a 28 y/o receiver with six 1,000 yard seasons? Which WR are you going to draft at 31 who’s likely to be better?

bad knees, malcontent, injury problems.  everyone knows he wants out. keep dreaming

color aside, pierce is the much better option and only costs money and is not a dink

AJB has put up 4 straight 1,000 yard seasons on a team that barely throws the ball. A Caucasian wideout does make sense in NE though.

We’ll see. It won’t surprise me if the Bills or Pats make that deal. What do you think is fair compensation for Brown?

btw Alec Pierce had 1003 yards on 47 catches.

Had Dan Jones and Phillip Rivers fot a stretch.   But thats probably similar to Hurts for AJ.

Other than going to 2 Super Bowls and winning one you’re spot on.

Chiefs trading their top CB Mcduffie to the Rams for the 29th pick and other lower picks. Chiefs want Jerimyah Love now that Hall is gone?

Im talking from a WRs point of view.

AJB had the best seasons of his career in Philly. I doubt he’s going to eclipse 1400 yards and win a chip with Danny Dimes or Rivers, but I’m prepared to be proven wrong.

Seems a tad light on the return.  I know he needs a new contract.  But when considering the Sauce trade, I think Rams got a little bit of a bargain here.

Feels like the Chiefs want to get in the top 5

For who in particular?

I see it as more they need some cap room and just decided to unload a good player before paying him.  Chiefs did not make the playoffs, Mahomes has a torn ACL.  I read it more as they needed to make a tough decision with cap standing, and want more picks because they know they have holes they need to plug with cheap labor.  Would be an odd year to put all stock into 1 player.  At least to me.

The Chiefs lost their damn minds

Huh? McDuffie was a 22 overall pick.   That's a pretty good haul for a team that was never going to sign him to the longterm deal he wanted in the range of $100m.   He was also a lock down corner in the slot but he wants to play on the outside.   He's not going to be a effective matching up against the bigger receivers lined up outside, even if he is one of the top corners in the game.   Overall it's probably a good deal for both teams.

I hear Geno Smith is being sent to the Middle East so that he can overthrow the Iranian regime.

You think lock down corners grow on trees??

So now they need to use a high pick on a CB. How does that make sense?

From Sam Mcdowell's twitter:

The Trent McDuffie trade came down to the Rams and the Giants, I'm told.

In the end, the Rams were the team willing to give up first-round PLUS.

The Chiefs get a 1, 3, 5 and 6. Really good haul. It's the equivalent of the 20-21st overall pick ... where KC took McDuffie in '22.

But now they're down a pro-bowl caliber corner. How does that make any sense?? Now they need a corner

Its a fine haul and where I mentioned maybe aceoss the street is the Sauce deal.  Maybe its just so bad you cant go off it.

You mention its equivalent of 20-21.  Very good, just where I was going.  Jets got the 16th pick.  Oh not to mention a first next year.

The 16th pick alone is worth more on charts than everything KC got.

I mean NFL isnt like that.  You make tough choices.  They sure lost a player.  They also lost a big contract.  Its a give or take and a call/risk you have to do sometimes.  Cant just resign everyone to big deals every year.  Their situation called for a tough look at this.

Omg why would Seattle trade Metcalf that makes them worse!!!.... wins superbowl.

Is that what you thought? I never took Metcalf for anything other than an ok WR.

People are saying that this was a great deal for KC. Is it a great deal when you lose your top CB for an unknown entity in a late 1st round pick?

I understand why they had to do it but that doesn't make it a good trade.
