Are we talking murders or mass shootings?  I would assume mental illness runs higher in mass shooters than the average murderer who may be pissed off at someone or do it in process of a robbery etc. T

Yeah I'm with you.  But again I live in the South.  Like I think there are a lot of these cases, like with this guy, where it's pretty apparent.  There was a guy dressed as a woman doing the seating at our local Outback, and the fact he was dressed as a woman wasn't concerning.  What was concerning is that he was wearing some sort of prosthetic to appear pregnant.  But again, this was one incident I recall and it's been maybe two years ago.  I'm sure I've come across others and just not taken notice, but there's no way it's 1% where I live.

2 things.

1) weird that a population that “no way makes up a full 1% of people” was like the #1 campaign issue for numerous Republicans in 2024

2) here’s a list from Wikipedia of shootings where 4 or more people were shot so far in 2026, which does include this Pawtucket shooting.  Looks like it has 45 incidents, and I’m not aware of any other tranny shooters on this list.   Slightly overindexing, but is 1 out of 45 a “significant %”?

Police say a shooter killed two people and critically injured three others on Monday at a youth hockey game in Rhode Island, during what they believe was a targeted attack following a domestic dispute. The suspect, whom law enforcement identified as 56-year-old Robert Dorgan, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, per the New York Times.
Though authorities have not released the names of the victims, a source familiar with the investigation told local outlet WPRI they were Dorgan’s family members. Rhode Island Hospital, which is treating the injured victims, told the Providence Journal they remained in critical condition as of Tuesday morning.
Police say the shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m. during a senior night high-school hockey match at the Dennis M. Lynch Arena in Pawtucket, a few miles outside Providence. Pawtucket police chief Tina Goncalves said that Dorgan was at the ice rink to watch a family member play in the game. She added that “a Good Samaritan stepped in and interjected in this scene, and that’s probably what led to a swift end of this tragic event.” Police said the investigation is ongoing and that they’ve interviewed more than 100 people, reviewed witnesses’ videos, and recovered firearms at the scene.
Not much is known about Dorgan at this point. He was an employee at Bath Iron Works, a shipyard in Maine that builds U.S. Navy ships, a spokesperson told the Journal. WPRI reported that in recent years, Dorgan’s gender identity seemed to have been a source of frequent legal disputes among the family. Authorities stated that Dorgan also went by the name Roberta Esposito but did not provide further details. A woman leaving the Pawtucket Police Department, who identified herself as Dorgan’s daughter but did not give her name, told local outlet NewsCenter 5 that her father had “mental-health issues.”
The incident happened two months after the state was rocked by a separate shooting at Brown University, where a gunman opened fire at a lecture hall at the height of finals season, killing two people and injuring nine others.
“Our state is grieving again,” Rhode Island governor Dan McKee said in a statement. “As governor, a parent, and a former coach, my heart breaks for the victims, families, students, and everyone impacted by the devastating shooting at Lynch Arena in Pawtucket.”

The only thing new I learned is that he works in a shipyard that builds ships for the Navy.

I’m not sure if Dorgan was “MAGA.”  But being a fan of Fuentes, Massie & MTG certainly leans conservative, and I haven’t seen much to indicate liberal views other than defending trans people.

Have not seen all the specific posts but Dorgan apparently expressed support for ICE and arresting people in regards to Russiagate.  One example below:

Completely disagree. I didn’t give a sh!t about gay people either way a few years ago. Now I have resentment towards them for the slippery slope of always wanting more that blossomed this trans disorder.

Really?  I think more people are gaining respect for the gay community.  The gay community has more in common with the straight community than with transgenders.  I've seen more and more people from the gay community trying to distance themselves from transgenders.
