Hawks putting a lot of faith in Charb...

I suspect this was a money decision.   charb is still on a rookie contract and that makes a big difference.

Once Hall was tagged , this was going to happen.

I dont think walker got full credit for what he does.

I really like what he brings on the field and I think a change of scenery was good for both him and Seattle.

I think it's a bad move for Seattle

well, I do think the Chiefs O line is better than the O line of the Seahawks.

so that part I think will be better.

and I think he is able to catch more passes in KC than he ever would have in Seattle.

so I am expecting a good year.  possibly career highs in multiple categories.

He had 46 rec in 2024, and only played in 11 games, so his ability in the passing does exist, he's a rb 1

Makes sense.  Chiefs always have RB's that constantly get hurt.

Yep.  People are going to reach for him as a RB 1 and it’ll be a mistake.  The Chiefs offense is a low volume RB offense, and he will miss time with injuries.  This is fools gold.  I’m a big fan of this guy, but not buying at what will end up an inflated ADP.

Agreed.  I'm guessing that early mocks/ADP's will have him in the 12 to 15 range.  I'd rather have him as my RB2 or my 3rd pick if I went WR/WR.  I guess I could see a scenario though, where I go RB/RB at 10/15, 11/14, or 12/13 and taking him that early.  That said, it most definitely won't be my plan going into the draft.

I can't wait to see his adp

According to FantasyPros Walker's current ADP is 38 overall (#14 Rb) in ppr... meaning early 4th round.

Probably higher by August once the hype train gains steam.

I dont think that was ever in question.   you dont give a contract like that to a guy who is gonna be RB2 or RB3.

yeah, at #38 overall I'd draft him there all day if he was on the board at that point in the draft.

I do agree, once the hype gets going he will rise up the board

I would too. Not sure how high I'd be willing to spend ... late 2nd.?. I don't know yet. Haven't done my research.

He's definitely intriguing. Plays like a video game with the cuts and fast bursts - and he can catch. Chiefs used to throw a lot of to Rbs... though they've fallen off a cliff in that department in recent years. Chiefs got rid of Hunt, so might get bulk of goal line work.

I'm not worried about injuries. Walker's prior injuries have all been Grd 1 or 2 sprains. Nothing too serious and played a full season last year. He's only 25 without much millage.

I'm not super worried about injuries either.    to some extent, all RBs get dinged up.  Nobody is fully immune.   its the guys who get hurt and miss 1/2 to 2/3 of a season at a time like CMC who I would be scared to pay full price for.    the guys who miss a game or two here or there dont worry me that much

Not worried about his injuries, but, I think he's going into a very good situation, if Mahomes rebounds

Non ppr, his rb 14 ranking is a very interesting situation, in my non personal 14 team league if I have a late pick it could go wr, Walker,Walkers, but of i pick early or even mid 1st, he could be my rb2.

apparently, he wants to be the bell cow.  Start moving him up

https://nypost.com/2026/03/15/sports/the-seahawks-decision-that-irked-kenneth-walker-iii-before-chiefs-signing/

Even before Kenneth Walker III earned the Super Bowl MVP honor after the Seahawks defeated the Patriots, and even before he signed with the Chiefs at the start of free agency, the star was “privately irked” by splitting carries, according to The News Tribune.

Walker, during the regular season, received 47 percent of the offensive snaps, while Zach Charbonnet received 49 percent for the Seahawks.

After Charbonnet suffered a torn ACL during the postseason, though, Walker starred as their primary back and collected 135 rushing yards during Seattle’s 29-13 victory over New England in the Super Bowl — turning that into a three-year contract worth up to $45 million.

Seattle planned to “audition” Charbonnet, who collected 730 yards and 12 touchdowns during the regular season, for the starting job moving forward last season, according to The News Tribune, and the share also was reportedly planned to ensure that Walker made it to the playoffs healthy.

Walker, a 25-year-old selected by the Seahawks in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, then switched agents in January ahead of his stint in free agency.

So instead of returning to Seattle and needing to split carries again after Charbonnet recovers, Walker will join a Chiefs team that has won two of the last four Super Bowls and has started to rebuild its offense around Patrick Mahomes after missing the 2025 playoffs.

Inking Walker — who finished with 1,027 rushing yards during the regular season — to a deal served as a critical step, and it left Seattle staring down an uncertain future at running back heading into 2026 with Walker gone and Charbonnet recovering from a serious injury.

“It means a lot,” Walker told reporters during his introductory press conference with the Chiefs, according to the Kansas City Star. “You feel appreciated and wanted — that’s what everybody wants. So I’m just happy to get in here and get to know the guys and work.”

Kansas City hasn’t watched a running back top 1,000 yards since Kareem Hunt in 2017, and last season, Hunt led the Chiefs with just 611 rushing yards while Isiah Pacheco added 462 across 13 games.

Cool,if it wasn't for nagging injuries Walker might have been the big dog
