Its a strategy like any other.

though I suspect thats the answer they are giving.  might be a case where they have a player waiting in the wings ready to fill some positions.

at RB I suspect that gets filled in the draft.  thats a young players position now (mostly)

Tuten is the clear starter and they signed Chris Rodriquez as well. It's a pretty weak RB draft, they'll probably grab one late for depth but that's about it. 

I think this draft will be all about o-line and defensive depth.

well, I am a big believer in having a solid O line. so if I was a fan I'd be ok with loading up on O line guys.  you can never have too much depth there. if push comes to shove the young guys force their way into starting positions and you can ship off the vets who make more money.  so your salary goes down, your team gets better....

its a win-win

Rodriguez will push for that starting job imo

The reason they'll always stink is because they're paying a boat load of cash to a QB who isn't very good.  It limits their offensive capabilities and their financial flexibility.  Teams should stop doing that.

And teams never will over pay for avg qb
