Oh and the fact that numerous people will surely celebrate this post is just proof of why this place needs me and others that don’t always agree with the groupthink that goes on with the majority of posters here.  Otherwise this place would basically be 4chan.

I’m just going to say something nice about Megla. He’s been around a lot longer than most here. He just wants a good board. Who were the Geeks? What is a Geek? From what I recall they were FF nerds who liked to do Geek drafts & join Geek leagues. FF was a lot more fun then. Go look at the beginning available threads here. It was fun stuff in 2006 by the looks of it.

And FBG FFA is quite boring now, it’s beige, bland. You should have a mix of controversy & slugfests & real feelings & that’s where the politics comes in.

But it should be a mix, maybe politics should be a third or a fifth. Right now it’s 3:1, 2:1 or 3:2 politics on Page 1 depending on the day. IMO the biggest problem is people starting triggering new threads when older primary threads already exist. All I’ll say is that people who feel this way should bump fun threads & start new ones. If you’re complaining about it - and you’re probably right - do something about it.

Plenty of posters start threads about things other than politics, most end up trashed by someone interjecting politics into it be it a righty or a lefty, it's just prevalent now and then you have the "Gotcha Kids" derailing any good discussion, political or not.  It's what this board is now, for how long?  I don't know

Yeah it wont last.   Politics get injected into every thread it seems.  FBG couldn't handle it anymore.  Mike has patience, but the influx of former FBG posters here now who report and make his work here 10X more difficult will destroy it.
