Fnord Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Meh. No titles, but the Bills played in 4 straight Super Bowls 1990-1993 and the Sabres were in the finals in 1999. Among the BIG 4 pro sports teams in Minnesota, none have even appeared in a finals since the Twins in 1991. For the mathematically challenged, that's 4 title appearances since 1991, amongst 2 teams in Buffalo, vs 0 appearances among 4 teams in MN. If you're looking for some sports sympathy, MN fans ain't gonna provide it. The sports gods have a lower opinion of MN fans than this bored does of peefoam. Quote

But at same time 0 championships is 0 championships. Making 4 SBs in a row and losing all is a pretty hard pill to swallow. The Bills had a 17 year playoff drought. The Sabres before now had 14 years which is insane in hockey. Bills may have Josh Allen and not win one (or even go). Minny is bad but lets not take too much away from Buffalo here. Not to mentioned "no goal" in the NHL championship. Quote

Guaranteed ... at least Vikes fans will be thinking that when they are 7-1 at mid season, before Murray falls apart physically, and opposing defenses figure out the offense. Quote

RaiderHaters Revenge Posted March 25 Posted March 25 San diego is the most correct choice. He’ll go back to the 60s. Chargers won the afl championship in 63. ironically the winningest franchise in sports history is from San Diego. But not a major sport. The San Diego Sockers won like 17 championships over a 20 season stretch. (Indoor and outdoor soccer) Quote

But actually, that doesn't reflect on the sadness of the Arizona fan base, which wasn't involved with the team until 1988. Quote

We had season tix for a few years, which were dirt cheap. When Charles Barkley joined the Suns, he was introduced to the city during a Rattlers game by riding out on the back of a Harley driven by the team's mascot. The crowd went nuts. Good times. Quote

As such, the Big Red Machine won in 75 and 76, and other Reds teams won in 1919 and 1940. I just read that 1919 was a best of 9 series, with the Reds beating the White Sox 5-3. I didn't know they ever had 9-game series. 1 Quote
