Why would I be triggered? He is basically saying he believes in God because it’s more comforting than the alternative. Quote

It is just common sense that to think this is all random is absurd. All of the laws in the universe. You cannot create something from nothing. You know better than Einstein and Newton both right? And in that absence or in that discrepancy is where you attribute it to a God. Which is fine I’m not ripping religious people. If you need it great. Quote

Humans lack the perceptive ability to understand most of what goes on in the universe. Maybe there's a god/creator, maybe there isn't. Some people need to convince themselves they "know" more than they really do. I'm comfortable in my lack of understanding. Maybe I will achieve enlightenment upon death, maybe not. I'll find out soon enough. 1 Quote

That is not what God is. That version didn't make sense, which is why I was an atheist. God might not even be the right word because it has such a distinct connotation related to mainstream religion, but there is something that is all powerful which birthed the universe. Quote

God isn't judging everything you do, God allows fools to be foolish, he gave man a free will, so you only have your stupid self to blame for your flocking stupid things you do or say, but when you die, of yeah then comes the boom. nobody Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Yeah ed, god is not judging everything you do. You have free will. Then when you die, god judges everything you do. Quote
nobody Posted April 4 Posted April 4 I don't really have a problem with most religions since it provides a function of giving hope and structure to people who would not do it for themselves. At least most religions evolved over the years to be constructive unlike the wokie agenda which worships suicidal empathy. But yeah, god is made up. Quote

nobody Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Yes. We all agree. Under Christianity, god judges you. Why is this hard? Quote
