This is the second thread on this. The lack if rebuilding has nothing to do with Newson, most of the homeowners were either not insured or underinsured and don't have the money to rebuild.

Yes, some insurance companies got out of the market in the high risk hillside areas (because of a legitimate concern they would not be able to cover the losses if there was a Palisades type fire) but you act like Newsome was somehow responsible for this.

This whole situation was so poorly handled by the loss Angeles leadership which consists of DEI hires and the state government headed by Newsome who has failed at e every turn. Just looked at his handling of the high speed rail and th homeless crisis that he vowed to end. As far back as his time as mayor of San Francisco. The problem has become worse. And both major policy initiatives that he touted are wrought with fraud.

Every single home that is rebuilt should be mandated to build fireproof dome homes. They would have withstood the flames and take less money to stay cool.
