MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+ stands for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual+ people. This acronym is used in Canada

Canada is absolutely cooked. This is where liberalism leads. They do not live in the same reality that the rest of us do. These people should be put in insane asylums. It's better someone is locked up for life than to be given an ounce of authority or power.

Are you really not aware of how silly this sounds?

It makes for a strong password, but 15 characters is no longer an acronym.

What you have done is ultimately damage the gay community and diminish the strides made for gay rights. 

Let’s break it down:

LGB- this is simply an acronym about sexual orientation. 

In this group:

Lesbian- women who like women
Gay- men who like men
Bisexual- men or women who like both

Simple, easy, and clear.

Then we added the T. 

The T is not a sexual orientation. It has nothing to do with sexual attraction, it is a group of people who believe their minds do not match their body parts. 

QQ- Anyone really know what this is? Queer, and Questioning. Ok cool.

Anyone? Most have no idea who these letters represent. 

2S- Ok, so 2 spirit

Now you add:

MMIW

None of you know what that is, neither did I so I looked it up:

Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.

Missing or murdered women is sad, but how in the world does this make any sense to add to an acronym that was supposed to be about sexual orientation?

If the ultimate goal it to add every group you deem to be marginalized, it would probably be easier to go with “Non SWM”

No one has ever said it was.

My understanding is it was felt that transgenders were facing the same hatred and discrimination as gay and lesbians were and from the same people, because they didn't comport themselves in the way transphobes/homophobes thought they should.

I don’t live there. But think it’s pathetic that you guys care more about the acronym than you do about the actual issue it’s raising, which is the genocide of indigenous people and gays and trans. Naturally not a word of discussion about that.

i'm just naming celebrities because no one would know or care about the average citizen, but it sure seems to be a liberal thing.

Not that I planned this but I’m in NYC right now taking my daughter to see some Broadway. Turns out the hotel I’m at is having Reverend Al Sharpton’s National Action Convention. So tomorrow he is hosting a forum on misinformation from the right wing media and how to deal with it. Speakers include Don Lemon and Symone Sanders. I’m gonna attend; it’s free to the public. Some of the folks in this forum could use this lecture.
