Ray_T Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I've not really started my research, but before doing so I thought I'd poll the board and see what peoples opinions are on this years NFL draft. what are the areas of Strength and weaknesses? PFF says Mendoza is projected to be a top 3 pick (likely #1) with him being the only high end QB in this draft year apparently only 1 elite RB (Love) the rest of the draft appears to be strong for defensive players and offensive Tackles. though I'm guessing there will be some individual good players any other insights? Ray_T Posted April 10 Author Posted April 10 ok apparently I saw a list with 5 WR projected to go in round 1. thats more than typical I'd say, so WR needy teams can load up there I'd guess Quote

We may see a bunch go in the first round but there's not a Ja'Marr Chase or Nabers type. In general, this appears to be a down year for talent on the whole. 2 Quote
listen2me 23 Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Good NT draft as most of the DTs are NTs oddly. Some positions don't have huge talent but are deep. Other than that I wouldnt say many positions can be considerd real strong. I could be wrong here but also feels like a lot of older prospects. But that may become the norm. Quote
jrokh Posted April 10 Posted April 10 For Fantasy purposes I will be looking closely where TE Kenyon Sadiq lands. He can play inline or Big slot with 4.39 wheels... 1 Quote

I value your opinion a lot. cheers Quote
RareN64Dream Posted April 13 Posted April 13 Seems like there will be about 9 edge rushers and 3 cornerbacks going in the 1st round. 2 safeties. Also, about 8 offensive linemen; 7 offensive tackles. Quote
Maximum Overkill Posted April 13 Posted April 13 It's a crappy draft for us Dynasty players. If you're not picking top 6 then trade out for a 2027 1st. 1 Quote

You could pick someone from the WNBA draft. They got some talent with all those UCLA picks hahah. I am totally joking. I know what you mean. Those WR in this draft might surprise and be like a OBJ or Jefferson rookie. Carnell Tate and Makai Lemon seem like the prospects most likely to produce right away initially. Tate will probably go around #6 and Lemon around #11. Or later for both. Quote
RareN64Dream Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Elijah Surratt, WR from Indiana said that he models his game similar to Keenan Allen. I saw on football guys forum talk. Quote
Super Cubs Posted April 16 Posted April 16 On paper it does not seem like a sexy draft for fantasy football purposes. Quote

There will be some breakout gems but this draft is just way too front loaded IMO. I traded back to tier up on players and loaded up on 3rd round picks. The value at the 3.01 will not be far off from the 1.10, it's that tight. 1 Quote

Everyone knows who the top 6 or 7 offensive players are. and if you dont have a pick high enough to get one, you have to ask yourself what strategy do you wanna play in this mess. so trading into next year, maybe get them to send a later pick your way this year may turn out to be the play. I've been trying to trade into the 2027 draft. It's going to be insane, 2-3 rounds deep of starters with 4-5 potential stud QBs Quote
