Caine Mutiny Posted May 6 Posted May 6 So I figured after Swalwell left that Tom Steyer would be the main beneficiary in the governors race. But it turns out that Becerra is the one to beat, apparently: https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/5865219-becerra-california-governor-debate/amp/ I really don’t know much about him. He worked for Biden so that’s a plus. Seems affable. But I’m still learning about his views. As most people know here I would have preferred Katie Porter. I’ve met her and I like her. But she is bossy and that’s still not acceptable for a woman in our society, especially one who doesn’t fit the male standards of attraction (as evidenced by the chauvinistic posts about her in this forum.) Too bad. 3 Quote

Caine Mutiny Posted May 6 Author Posted May 6 Last night in the debate the two Republicans spoke of their allegiance to Donald Trump and one talked about how he was proud to be an Oath Keeper. Wrong audience for this stuff. This ain’t governor of Alabama you’re running for. Quote

Too bad. Katy Porter is simply an awful person but, the fact that she thinks illegal immigrants should get free healthcare is enough for most, I'm guessing. 1 Quote
Caine Mutiny Posted May 6 Author Posted May 6 So I browsed his website and it’s extremely generic. No specific proposals. https://www.xavierbecerra2026.com/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23781299959&gbraid=0AAAABDdEUYJqUncIXhYDeCPbMBSAhA7i4&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqs_hlYillAMVQCZECB2pUi8sEAAYASAAEgIKn_D_BwE For example, here is his position on Artificial Intelligence: California built this technology and California should benefit from it. AI should broaden opportunity, not concentrate it. OK? What exactly does this mean? Quote

Well I agree with her on that issue and many others. But she’s way down in the polls so it ain’t happening. Looks to be Becerra or Steyer and Becerra is ahead. Quote
Tree of Knowledge Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Federal Government under Father Trump should take over this failed state. Long overdue. Quote

5-Points Posted May 6 Posted May 6 California just might end up with a Republican or two on the ballot. God knows this state needs it. Quote

Voltaire Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Maybe Brian Peppers would consider asking Katie Porter out. Or her, him. I doubt either are very picky. Based on Tim's comments, Beccera seems like a vacuous empty suit trying not to make a mistake and float to the top by default. This is up to California to decide. Of course, I encourage California to vote GOP because I sincerely want all parts of the country to get better. If that doesn't happen I want them to get what they deserve, to kncok some to their senses. So I probably should find a Democrat I like best. Which Democrat candidate seems most genuine and enthusiastic when pandering for the extreme intersectional communist vote? Quote
