Mike FF Today Posted May 8 Author Posted May 8 Jennings was one of the top wideouts still available on the free agent market and serves a need for Minnesota who lost Nailor to the Raiders this off-season. This isn't the best move for his fantasy value as Justin Jefferson will command at least 140 targets and Jordan Addison has solidified himself as a strong No.2 option. Jennings can be penciled in as the Vikings No.3 option in the passing game but isn't likely to see the volume necessary to be a weekly trustworthy fantasy asset. 1 Quote

I do see a rebound with Kyler Murray at QB. Jennings is a 28 year old WR who has never had a 1000 yard season. had one good year in San Fran when people got injured and he was pushed into a more prominent role. Addison should be able to beat him out for touches. if he cant, he has no business being there. I suspect Jennings is more of an injurance policy and hes good enough to push Addison a bit. I think it will be fine if Kyler can stay healthy. Granted, thats a very big IF. hes had almost as many seasons where hes missed significant time than hes had seasons where he played all the games. but I do think if you can get Kyler for cheap as a speculative QB2/3 he might pay some dividends there. Kyler is the big winner as a result of this signing. Quote
weepaws Posted May 14 Posted May 14 I'm very interested in Murray, I'm hoping to see him in the double digit rounds Quote

I wouldnt draft him as a QB1 but I'd definitely grab him as a depth QB. if hes gonna be successful in that offense you will probably know it pretty early. I would never draft him as a QB1 just because his health has been less than reliable. but hes definitely a QB2/3 that has QB1 upside potential. best thing about paying that low price.... if he doesnt pan out, you just cut him. Ray_T Posted May 14 Posted May 14 id go further to say if you are not fully happy with your QB situation late in a draft and hes on the board, I'd take a chance on him here. its a better offense with far more talent than he had to work with in Zona. if he can stay healthy (big IF) he would be a nice acquisition at that point. Every QB not named McCarthy has put up monster numbers in that system. Combine that with Murray's rushing upside and you may have a QB1 on your hands. It's very possible Quote
