The reason we're here is that the Trump Administration thinks the Biden administration focked up all these peoples' lives for no reason, other than political retribution, The protestors feel they are entitled to compensation for the ordeal they endured under the Biden Administration and since the current administration agrees their argument for reparations is a valid one, they're going to try to  make it happen.

And now I'm going to finish this thread, being most curious to see what legal wranglings and hurdles we will be expecting to see take place between now and whenever the reparation check get cut (if that ever transpires),

The first 5000 times we looked into Trump's misdeeds, IMO we did find a few real ones. We got Obama birtherism, "grab 'em by the ," undignified behavior, petty insults, the meme coin, Trump University... there is surely more, this is off the top of my head stuff I felt he did wrong. IMO there has been some real misconduct. 

But I notice a pattern where the vast majority of accusations against him have turned out to be BS. The day the corporate media took Trump's "Good People on Both Sides" remarks, and edited them to sound like 180 degrees opposite of what he was saying, and then they all parroted their fake interpretation all over media... You realize just how badly you're being lied to. The speech is there. You can watch it. You can see for yourself that Trump said the exact opposite of what the media reported he said. The corporate media will likely never come back from that to regain their credibility with me again.

Every scandal deserves to be examined for its own merits. These latest sound serious and I'm not doing it right by tuning them out. But I don't have time to look into everything anymore. The Chicken Little effect has been blaring non-stop and continues to blare non-stop, so you just tune it out since it mostly proves to be cr@p. I stopped taking accusations against Trump seriously, so if/when the Dems ever do find anything wrong, it's likely to get drowned due to all the noise they put out for ten years. Its not the way it should be, but I have to cut corners.

I heard Todd Blanche say that the fund would be for all victims of “weaponization” regardless of their political affiliation - whatever that means.

They should at least buy lunch for the guy they tried to jail for throwing a sandwich. And I’m thinking James Comey will be eligible for a big payout too.

Trump has flaws, but he does fight the battles that need to be fought and since his enemies are such evil focking scum, you just ride that Trump train, since its so effective at straightening out out what needs to be done. When Trump posts some dumb sh*t at 3 AM, you just deal with it. Even when I agree with the dumb sh*t he posts at 3 AM, I realize there's a better, more presidential way of saying it.

Brad Holmes and Trajan Langdon have taken two bottom feeder Detroit teams and turned them into Championship contenders. You can criticize the one for drafting Ennis Rakestraw and Hendon Hooker or the other for not making a deal at the 2026 trade deadline, or you can accept that nobody is perfect and be delighted and thankful that we're where we are now because these guys have making great decisions nine times out of ten. That's how I feel about President Trump.

I just had to read that diatribe from Voltaire about the weaponization of govt. against Trump. It was an assault against my intelligence, I think I should get some funds too.

We need to stop pretending like people didn't go to the Capitol building on January 6th to gain access and attempt an insurrection. We need to stop pretending like all the people there were innocent and unjustly picked on. In doing that we can also acknowledge that there were people there looking to just express their displeasure in the process of what was happening that day. We can also acknowledge that many of those people didn't enter the Capitol building and stood outside holding signs and chanting in an attempt to influence. There is 100% nothing wrong with that. But the issue is- for some people who are far too dyed-in-the-wool for everything Trump says and does to ever admit this stuff. They believe in absolutes- and we see that by the people who constantly compare January 6th to the summer of 2020 riots and can't draw a distinction between someone protesting police brutality and someone breaking a window to steal a TV from a store as part of that. The issue I have with what Trump has done here is twofold: 1.) it is borne out of him suing the government he runs and making a settlement over it which is so far beyond the pale of normalcy. If you defend this- ask yourself: what would you say had Biden or Obama done the same thing? Hell FOX News would be running the story 24/7 as some massive scandal. 2.) This whole thing sets a bad precedent for how these things could, and would, operate in the future. We are moving away from being a nation and culture that tries to one up ideas to build a better America and instead are becoming "If you do something bad, I can do something worse." We are lowering the bar for ourselves across the board and both sides are playing a hand in it and will continue to play a hand in it until an adult is back in power telling the children to go back to the kid's table.

I'm also noticing, to no one's surprise, that most conservatives are pleading varying levels of ignorance about this slush fund. After perusing the Fox News website a few times over the last couple days, I understand why. 

Conservative media is covering it only in the most basic forms, framing it as a simple "settlement" and devoting little or no air time or print space to the story. I couldn't find any reporting referencing specifics like Trump being able to hand money out to allies with zero oversight.
