100-1 says none of Mooneys students can spell sycophant or know what it means. Their teacher is too busy on a low rent message board during the school day.

Well, when Dear Leader core backers are the "Hold my beer" Republicans, you can't be that surprised.

A quick summary for you:

Quote

Trump gets a formal apology. The IRS agrees to drop any audits of him and his family, even though a 2024 Times report found a loss in an ongoing audit could cost him over $100 million.

That's the part that has been overlooked for years and the reason why he never wanted to release his taxes. He tried to scam the IRS to the tune of 70M and got caught.

I said anyone charged with insurrection shouldn’t get anything.

It’s even worse than it looks at first sight.

No public disclosure of who gets paid. No appeals process. No Congressional oversight.

There is a Republican congressman who says he will get this in front of Congress and get it shut down. We’ll see.

If he does he will get primaried by some schmuck and the maga seal clapping crew will cheer - even tho they know nothing about this because they are too busy and it’s the Dems fault.

Non answer. It’s ok.

The 2020 liberal riots cost the insurance industry far more than any prior incidents of social unrest. $2 Billion in insurance claims alone.

After the destruction, Minneapolis alone made a list of more than 1,000 businesses damaged in the chaos.

At least 25 people killed because of those liberal riots.

During the 2020 riots, more than 900 law enforcement officers were injured, including 277 officer injuries while defending the federal courthouse in Portland, Oregon, and 60 Secret Service officers defending the White House.

This is all very interesting but lets get down to brass tacks, How does one apply for a piece of the pie?  Would being an internet warrior on a low trafficed message board qualify someone?  Would proof of purchase of a Trumpy Bear or Trump Sneakers or a MAGA hat?  Could someone simply allege they were traumatized by the events of January 6th being broadcasst and rebroadcast into their homes?

I doubt I qualify but maybe it is like those class action settlements a person gets notified of in the mail.  Fill out a form, wait months or years, and then get a check.  I ignore those class action notices too, unless they promise a pretty fair return for my effort.

I’d suggest raising your profile in both social and traditional media, lavishing excessive praise and deferential loyalty on all things MAGA and Trump. Promise a cut of your winnings to the ballroom through back channels - better yet, directly to the Trump Foundation. Good luck!

Sounds like way more effort than I am willing to make.  Laziness, the reason I never get ahead.

What content in their post was worth responding to. HT is the only one who said anything that had value to the discussion and it was after his first post.

The other three literally added nothing. It's what they do constantly. I've always said that on some instances HT will try to contribute.

He said he didn't think anyone charged with insurrection should get money. Which at least is a something to start with. Now of course no one was specifically given that charge that day but it at least allows for the discussion of "Are you okay with someone being charged with "seditious conspiracy" being given some of that money. Or who assaulted police or obstructing an official proceeding.

Sycophants #2 and #3 entered the chat I see

There is Sycophant #4....

Seriously dude? This was my first post today on this stuff

4 hours ago, Sean Mooney said:

We need to stop pretending like people didn't go to the Capitol building on January 6th to gain access and attempt an insurrection. We need to stop pretending like all the people there were innocent and unjustly picked on. In doing that we can also acknowledge that there were people there looking to just express their displeasure in the process of what was happening that day. We can also acknowledge that many of those people didn't enter the Capitol building and stood outside holding signs and chanting in an attempt to influence. There is 100% nothing wrong with that. But the issue is- for some people who are far too dyed-in-the-wool for everything Trump says and does to ever admit this stuff. They believe in absolutes- and we see that by the people who constantly compare January 6th to the summer of 2020 riots and can't draw a distinction between someone protesting police brutality and someone breaking a window to steal a TV from a store as part of that. There are always idiots in a crowd of relatively sane people.

The issue I have with what Trump has done here is twofold: 1.) it is borne out of him suing the government he runs and making a settlement over it which is so far beyond the pale of normalcy. If you defend this- ask yourself: what would you say had Biden or Obama done the same thing? Hell FOX News would be running the story 24/7 as some massive scandal. 2.) This whole thing sets a bad precedent for how these things could, and would, operate in the future. We are moving away from being a nation and culture that tries to one up ideas to build a better America and instead are becoming "If you do something bad, I can do something worse." We are lowering the bar for ourselves across the board and both sides are playing a hand in it and will continue to play a hand in it until an adult is back in power telling the children to go back to the kid's table.

The first response was this which is why I said "Sycophant #1" (and later said a second comment was made by the person after this)

Same thing you always do. Make a big comment, get called, and then immediately try to pass it back.

Again- you see I made a big sweeping post outlining a lot of thoughts. Which response back was I supposed to engage with? The dancing banana or "Shut the fuk up"? Save your hypocrisy talk

Simple question for you. Which response was looking for me to actively engage in a discussion with it? I'm not getting pissy. I'm calling you out for jumping into something (yet again) and completely ignoring one side of the ledger because it doesn't fit your argument.

My argument that your posts were hypocritical?  There's nothing to 'fit', that's what they are.

Here's an idea, if you don't like the way posters post then don't post like they do.

You didn't have to respond to them but you did all the while screaming they don't merit a response.  You could have simply responded to those engaging your original post, one I actually thought was very well said but you didn't, you jumped into the cesspool.

Supposedly anybody can apply. My suggestion is that everybody in America apply. Flood the zone.

However, we will never know how many people applied or who gets paid. They’ve made it all hush hush. Secretly giving away almost 2 billion bucks of taxpayer money seems downright illegal to me.

And let’s not forget the 1-page addendum to this “settlement” that supposedly bars the IRS from ever auditing this pres now or at anytime in the future. Which means he could just stop paying taxes for the rest of his life and nothing would be done about it.

Your argument is stupid. Pure and simple. You are going at the person who was actually on topic and sharing thoughts and excusing the people who just went to insults right away. None of them engaged to the original post until I said something.

Here's an idea- instead of coming at me solely...how about you apply the whole argument to the other side. I know you want to play message board police but find someone else to do it against.
