Still wouldn't. I only support the death penalty when national security remains a significant risk, even while in prison. That means extremely rare cases such as spies or notorious terrorists. Other than that, nope. Costs too much and it's no deterrent, along with many other good reasons to oppose it. No doubt many deserve death (certainly kid killers), but that's not good enough reason to counter all the problems. 1 Quote
