It was a pretty big deal at the time, there was a fairly long thread here about it as well but it must’ve been deleted.   He made the comments on a porn site called “Nude Africa,” it was a pretty hilarious story.  Fortunately, despite Trump winning the state he got crushed because of non-party line voters like myself (I live in NC), but most Republicans voted for him.

When that story came out the ballots were already done.  I never voted for Roy Moore in any of his races so it was easy.  Just like Platner, if you opened your eyes it was pretty evident he was a bad guy before the final nail.  

Just to be clear, winning by 1.6% for a D in AL is no small feat.  It's like a Republican winning a Chicago mayoral race.  It takes a once in a lifetime bad candidate/person to cause that result.

Yeah they couldn’t replace him so they stuck with him as I recall. The point that a wanna be child rapist loses by 20k is just proof people vote for their side no matter what and justify it in all sorts of manner.

We had a guy here who posted a lot of problematic stuff and then ran and won for office in Texas.  He furiously deleted all his posts here but it still got in to the media.  I have no plans to ever run for office.

Perhaps some of that. I was lucky and had great parents. Of course I lie and do shady things as well, but to do at the level of this blows me away. There has to be some level of mental condition that allows that.
